The color Purple is a masterpiece by Spielberg. What striked me when I first saw it on a big screen in 1986/7 is the cinematography. while the editing is typical Spielberg with his own usual suspect circle of editor, this film optimise the African American skin tone contrasted with the sandy background, its shirt and native american countryside.

And I haven't even talked about its story yet. Anyway, its a masterpiece in many aspect. (ed: Original book was a famous American Feminist writer, hence the storyline.)

Finally watched "Transformer : Dark Of The Moon"

story wise so-so, but as a pop corn flick, it's a feast to the eyes and wow-wow-wow for the fabulous 7.1 TrueHD sound track.

The sound ae so envoloped and moving seemlessly all around you. and lots of LFE action as well. The sound of a gun shot boucing back from wall that I never heard in the cinema caught me by surprise and I thought something hit from the back of my wall

However, I've some problem, the soundtrack become noisy from the surround speakers when enter 1:26 time, was using TrueHD direct b4 that and have to change to THX setting than the noise go away....but I found that pure 7.1 truehd without processing from the AVR sound better and more detail to me.....

A true demo quality for PQ & AQ I must said..

Sherlock Holmes in a bit

Iron man. Worth watching 2nd time.

watch Star Wars Episode 1 last nite,enjoy the pod race and last fight between Darth Maul and Jedi.

For this Soloman Kane, personally, my rating as below:
Story line 3/5 (as I could predict how it was going )
PQ 3.5/5
SQ 4/5 (there was a couple of screnes got great LFE when the big demon out of mirror to fight with Soloman)

wow ! sound quality 4/5 , will get it soon.

too too too many movies to watch.....no time at all.....have to study for the work related stupid exam.....

just watched Transformers Dark of the Moon last weekend... the story line not really interesting... feel asleep while watching it.

get a proper 5.1 speaker setup with good sub.
surely won't fall asleep then.

Verdict: It's not a bad vulgar movie. I found it quite humorous entertaining actually and yes, she doesn't give a "F" about anything!





Verdict: It seems like a low budget movie with typical storyline. The whole plot sounds like death race 2. Yawning!
