tone, I just saw that CPU-Z says yours r mobile. But flowerh's one is not mobile. It will say "CPU unknow". Without the 'n' at the end.

My new CPU, same as tone's stepping. Using KT333 , it primes fail at 12.5x166@1.4Vcore.
Tone, can yours prime stable on that vcore and speed? just wondering.... EDIT: It's stable now. Don't know why....lol This post has been edited by davidletterboyz: Mar 4 2005, 07:04 AM |

QUOTE(tone @ Mar 4 2005, 02:17 PM) pump voltage..overclock the bugger la...no need to test default one la.. No, I really don't know why it fails the very first time I put my CPU (yeah, straight away do mild o/cing hahaha). This is 2600+ running on 12.5x166 on KT333 (yeah fsb 200 will kill my hdd hehe). I tested with 12.5x200 yesterday, it boots nicely, but 58C idle!! (Me on stock hsf). Anyways, I think we can really trust the stepping in DTR, unlike normal desktop which same stepping does not give same o/c. I wonder how good soulfly's 2800+ will be. I hope it cracks 2.8GHz with air cooling hahahah!dont pamper the proc ...hit it hard! ... keep us updated...go david! tone.. |

Just tried only, didn't really have time to test hehe.wah..idle temp very bad huh."try fitting ur heatsink again.." it wont go that high one lar even when u oc...to further oc..make sure temp under 50'c .. 12.5 x 200mhz=2500Mhz great result! at wat voltage? ehh...my proc boot up at 2900Mhz ok ! haha..using 2volts le..air cooling ! Damn! 12.5x200MHz fails at 1.65Vcore after 18mins of priming (small FFTs)!!!! This is a bad indication? LOL KT333 with stock cooling haha. Full load tempt was 58C.
Now priming at 1.675Vcore. Temp is 59C. Hope it's going well. EDIT: Failed after 28mins. This post has been edited by davidletterboyz: Mar 5 2005, 01:31 AM |

QUOTE(tone @ Mar 5 2005, 12:16 PM) dont rush le..u might damage ur proc like tat (bcos temp)...get better cooling..or fit another big a** fan on the heatsink. Hehe, high temp = burns faster LOL. Ok, me got myself a cheap brandless HSF. Now going to shop to buy sandpapers. my proc need 1.725v for 2500mhz (at first) ...now after burning in 1.675v.. tone. |

QUOTE(tone @ Mar 14 2005, 03:19 AM) TT silent tower lo..cheap n good performance, quiet too...RM110 at Sri Comp. Hmm.....RM110 still overbudget LOL! I'm buying a mobo, that's why not enough $. Anyways, I'm keeping the CPU because, even though somebody is offering quite a high price, I still can't afford a new Sempron + good mobo setup. ehh...how ur proc? tone |

QUOTE(evildonkey @ Mar 14 2005, 12:47 PM) thos tat's trying to go above 2.6ghz, could u post ure sp2004 screenie tat past at the 6-8hours mark??? coz 1 hour doesn't proove anything u know 1 hour is for the ranking in this thread. Not for 24x7 setup dude! You might be satisfied with 6-8 hours prime stable, but somebody might want 12hours, someone probably wants 24hours, and the list goes on.I remember somebody challenged flowerh to prime 18hours when he got his CPU up to 2.60GHz. You go and search that thread, and read what he said. |

One hour is enough because I'm folding. Even 1 hour of sp2004 already decreased the score.

QUOTE(fatalynx05 @ Mar 30 2005, 08:11 AM) u sure arr mine a good stepping? i try before 200 x 11.5 using default vcore but never try more lower vcore btw if less vcore the peformance also reduce leh but make a lot of heat if high vcore If lower Vcore also gives you the prime stable, then it's still OK. Won't reduce teh performance.... |
