DNA 11.8.3 come with Cat11.8 + OpenGL 4.2 beta driver. Official 11.8 give me weird texture clipping in Shift 2 and early DNA 11.8 doesn't work for mobility GPU.

No harm to try.  tongue.gif
He is using stock HP driver?

Try to Uninstall everything for AMD driver and then use Drive Sweeper 3.1 to clean AMD driver in Safe Mode.
Then install latest HP driver, after that install either DNA 11.5b or DNA 11.8.3-prev. Use custom install and tick everything except HydraVision.

How to cleanly reinstall HP AMD Graphic driver in DV6 or similar system.
  1. Download this HP driver. AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver 2011-11-18 , Version:8.882.2.3000, 338.97M.
    Don't install it yet.
  2. Download and install DriverSweeper 3.2.
  3. Go into Control Panel and uninstall AMD Catalyst Install Manager
    When uninstall choose this.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
  4. After that restart and enter Safemode. Use DriverSweeper and tick AMD-Display. Scan and clean. Reboot. <-------- not really neccessary but i hate the feeling of having leftover files in my system.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
  5. Install the HP AMD driver u download in the 1st step and reboot.

Optional: Now you can install any official/unofficial AMD driver on top of HP driver. Your selection will vary depending on the driver source.

My HDMI output to TV not working on my brand new DV6-6114T, the TV shows 'No signal'. Could it because of BIOS or Graphic Driver update. I did not try HDMI before update though. I noticed my Audio Playback devices has no AMD HDMI Output, is that a problem too?

Does anybody know how to download Driver Sweeper?

I can't find the download link from this webpage.

When I want to uninstall AMD driver, do I uninstall from Device Manager?

Or should I just uninstall only CCC?

Or I should uninstall CCC first, then uninstall AMD driver from Device Manager?

Sorry, I'm confused. rclxub.gif

I can only see ATI Catalyst Install Manager.

Uninstall that?

I got Revo Uninstaller, should I use Revo to uninstall it?

One more question, when you install some programs, it will ask you to reboot to clear leftover files. What if I used Revo to uninstall them and the program wants me to reboot? If I reboot, then Revo won't do it's job of scanning the registries, etc. So should I reboot or Revo will settle these items?

Yup, uninstall the ATi Catalyst Install Manager. Choose express uninstall.
Don't use Revo, it would just uninstall the "ATi Catalyst Install Manager", not the ATi driver and such..

It still better to reboot, because some files are still locked and need to restart to delet them.

If you use Revo, when its doing the uninstallation, after that, choose not to reboot. Then proceed with Revo scanning to remove registry and leftover. Then restart.

Ok I got it. I'm uninstalling AMD driver now.

Anyway, so if I uninstall programs (separate case) with Revo, I should choose NOT to uninstall the said program and let Revo settle the leftovers?

Thanks a lot sifu lee! icon_rolleyes.gif notworthy.gif rclxms.gif

EDIT: After I reinstall the driver, I straight upgrade to Mobility Catalyst 11.8, right?

Use Revo to start the uninstallation. It should ask you what level you want to do it, moderate or etc. Then it should proceed uninstalling like normal then at the end there will be extra step by Revo, concerning the Registry and leftovers.

You need to install the HP driver first, then only install latest driver from AMD, since the Intel HD is inside HP driver

I think the HDMI output is handled by Intel HD.

I got another somewhat minor problem, why is it that sometimes my shut-down time is slow but sometimes it's fast?
