Anyone matched A5+ with other sub-woofer (Cheaper than S8) ?

i also don't quite understand how to set it, just trial and error with the combination. But i didn't power on the subwoofer everytime, too powerderful...

I am currently putting my a5+ (Bamboo wood version) with S8 Subwoofer and DS2 speaker stands for sale. (New in box with official receipt and warranty)

Hi guys, i just brought A5+ and a DAC D1 yesterday.

Sadly the DAC D1 keep have these popping sound. Its so annoying and i been testing all kind of setting from the internet and still get same issue. Does anyone face the similar issue and how you solve it?

Set the speakers about 5ft apart, draw the sound directly from a Sony TV to the A5+, not impressive. What am i missing? will a DAC helps?

are u playing tv channel? mono or stereo sound

Stereo sound, A few HDMI sources to TV, and use TV as audio out to the A5+

Loud yes, losing the sound stage, detail and the punch. It's like the sound stopped half way.

haha thing is I wasn't ready for bookshelf speakers, these speakers are really awesome, but they are abit too big on my desk. I came from soundsticks 3, and as you know the soundsticks are so small in size lol.

I thought they could fit, but they just take up too much space on my desk.

Very nice sound tho, crystal clear with very good bass from the subwoofer.

Have u tried the connecting the TV with other speakers too, or connecting the A5+ to other devices? The TV could be the prob, especially if it's a cheap one. I am thinking that the room size could be the cause too. Is it a very big hall? Lol. Anyway, these are what I can advise. Should refer to more professional advice or the seller if it still doesn't solve it.

1st time drawing sound from the TV, gonna try other devices like the bluray player and apple TV.

hdmi means the tv is doing decoding. A weak point
Not sure where u can buy dac that support hdmi, except home theater receivers.

Not if the TV is a premium TV like the Sony Smart TV KDL-32W674A. I'm using it now. The sound quality is much better than the computer's integrated sound chip. suppose DAC that supports HDMI is rare though, can consider using other methods to output sound.

Im getting bigger speakers as it acts as my "hifi" system in the room.

Sound card is already a DAC actually. Depending on ur usual usage, if you aren't setting up a surround sound setup, you are better off with a DAC from audiophile audio brands, which would have better sound quality comparing to the computer audio brands like Creative.

I haven't really tested a high-end computer sound card before, but I doubt the sound quality is comparable with the audiophile audio brands. The computer sound cards are usually suited for gaming, or movies. Do let me know if you happen to find one that's comparable.

I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a 5.1 surround DAC from the audiophile brands though.
