Hey girls!!

Let's share your BB cream experience here!

FYI, I'm actually planning to buy a new one. So wanna hear some reviews and recommendations.

Let me share my experience.

My first bb cream is from Missha which looks like this

user posted image

That time I had a friend selling this, so I just bought from her and tried. Because it's my first BB cream, I don't know whether it's good or not. My skin condition is actually not that bad, so I don't quite feel the effect. Maybe just even the skin tone.

I use my BB cream as a base, and sun block. But after applying BB cream, I don't put foundation.

Full range of Korean Lioele brand including men's available at Parkson's. Thickness and colour vary a lot. Must try on and wait 15 mins for it to cure. Google for reviews of many brands. Body Shop discontinued.

Cheap Maybelline line not bad for price. The "Fresh" shade turns quite light and more transparent. The "Natural" at first looks horrible but settles to a good cover shade, like a concealer. This weekend on offer at Guardian.

Supposedly new superior type, CC Cream sold by some on LYN. Not tried yet. Rachel K, a Singapore brand that reviewed superior to others, is sold at SG Watson's but not here in KL yet.

oneleven: which parkson that has liole? i went to pavillion and klcc but i don't think i can find any trace of it. haha!

anyway, i have used etude house precious mineral, the lightest shade, O'slee HD bb cream, dr cilabo, skin 79 and L'OCEAN. the one that i like best is still L'OCEAN. it just fits my skin tone perfectly.

Etude house: too grayish on me.. a bit oily too. this lightest shade made me look ghastly white because i have fair skin myself. light shade + fair skin = ghost! a no no. tried on their darker shade from this line and it's dark for my skin tone; hence look orangy on me.

O'slee: dark for my shade but nowadays, i mixed etude precious mineral with O'slee, works quite well. fit my skin tone better. O'slee is a bit oily. if i don't mix it with other lighter shade of bb cream, i will mix it with my make up base to lighten the shade.

dr cilabo: using the lightest shade too and it's a bit grayish on me as well. their darker shade is slightly dark for my skin tone. i an't use make up base if i wanna use this bb cream; otherwise the ghostly white is really apparent. so, i am mixing this bb cream with others too to get a better shade.

skin79: the pink bottle. Slightly grayish and a bit oily too; however it fits my skin tone slightly better than o'slee, dr cilabo and etude house.

L'OCEAN: my perfect match!

all of the above bb cream has light to medium coverage to me because i applied a really thin layer. O'slee can get thick coverage but since i apply just a thin layer, it has light to medium coverage. i don't fancy the smell.

There is a Lioele counter at Parkson's at the Mall PWTC, just inside the entrance, left side.

How do you girls put your BB Cream?

I just put it on my palm, clap clap clap, then apply my palm (with the BB cream) onto my face.

Do you get what I mean? Haha.

Omg... that's the way of applying toner, not cream!! How will the cream be even if you only pat on your face?
I squeeze some amount on the back of my palm, the lowest part of my thumb. Then i used my another hand's finger (just 1 or 2) to dap abit and apply it evenly on my face. I usually start with my cheecks, then fore head, then chin and lastly t-zone (cuz I don't want too many on my t-zone).

Not sure whether this is the correct way. But it serves me fine.
I'm kinda curious, how does the bb cream be even on your face with the method u're using? shakehead.gif

yup! you can apply the way you are applying right now. once you pressed the bb cram onto your face with your palm, if there is any area that's not even or need a bit more coverage, then you can spread those areas over using usual method. the patting method serves to have thin application.

that's how i apply foundation, not bb cream. haha! bb cream, i use brush or simply dot few dots on my face and spread it all over. but my usual method is, squeeze bb cream onto the back of my hand, then by using the middle and ring finger to get some product and gently tap it onto my skin.

in korea, they said this method enable a more natural finished.

I use Lancome oil based. Yellow color one. Once it meets with water, it'll turn like milk..not oily at all..
