your lats are there. body parts dont just come out into existence because you work out. they are just, smaller, thats all. try pulling your shoulder blades together and arch. to better feel it do pull ups instead of chin ups |

Am I the only one wondering why the power cage are used for bodyweight and calisthenic stuff only? Why not do weight training along with calisthenics anyways, power rack seems underutilised.
No offense yah guys. Am planning a home gym too with a power cage but I'm sure as hell ain't gonna just do pull ups with it.. |

QUOTE(ApeKG @ Oct 21 2011, 12:48 PM) me and hoxy are not using it for bodyweight and calisthenics only. I also do strentgh and barbell training (i do squat, bench etc) inside the power cage. i just stopped 5x5 for a while after i reach 1.5x BW squat, 1.6x deadlifts and focus on calisthenic instead as im afraid my joints and tendons are not ready for more poundage on those two big lifts.. Oh nice, I didn't know lol. Great job on the poundages man! |

QUOTE(ApeKG @ Oct 21 2011, 01:16 PM) thanks man! a very big compliment from a guy like you. but i do not know whether my form/ROM is correct. that's the downside of training alone at home. Eh I'm lightweight, lol. The big hitters aren't here yet . That's easy, take vids and review em. Very easy since you're at home. I hate bringing my phone while training in the gym. But I've managed to upload a few and posted here and got some real useful tips. Try it yourself, first is always the hardest but once you know the regulars here they're a cool bunch. I think I've changed my squat form twice and at least three times on my deadlift lol. All in the learning process |

QUOTE(-Dan @ Nov 22 2011, 02:37 PM) Wouldn't that be magnesium carbonate or in other words chalk? Something like NaHCO3 + MgCl2 ---> MgCO3 + NaCl + HCl ? Just testing out my A level chem knowledge since I have exams now. I dunno ...im pretty sure magnesium carbonate is not chalk. wouldnt it be sodium bicarbonate (Na HCO3)? and im pretty much not visiting this thread again if you're gonna be talking chem. i effin hate chem. |

QUOTE(dantck @ May 12 2012, 11:36 PM) i tried to do Muscle UP its hard to do it because you're not used to doing it yet. having the strength to do so does not mean you can do it. takes time and practice, like everything else.it is very tough for me even i can do one arm push up , dips and pull up / chin up. i cant or dont know how to swing myself up , is need powerful tricep or shoulder to do it? |
