Think the first post for Maybank fees are outdated.

Did a IBG GIRO few days ago, was charged RM2. No more 0.50 for first 2 transfers of the month

I don't normally use PBB (above is the transition from Apr to Jun), but always found it charge me RM2 for IBG, even the very 1st IBG.. blush.gif
Let's get one thing clear guys. The discounted rate of RM0.50/transfer for the first two transfers every month is applicable only to Basic Savings Account. For those who are charged the normal rate, it is because your account is NOT a Basic Savings Account. Hope this clears.

For PBB non BASIC SAVING ACCOUNT HOLDER, it better for u all to transfer fund with "QUICK PAY" instead of "IBG" since it also cost you the same services charges RM2 but the fund can received immediately smile.gif

Hi, I am holding a Maybank Basic Savings Account Option 2 with the following:

QUOTE
First 2 GIRO transactions in a month at a fee of RM0.50 per transaction and RM2.00 from the 3rd transaction onwards.
Option 2

However, I found this in M2U:
QUOTE
New Interbank GIRO Transfer - Step 1 of 4
3.  A RM2 fee will be charged for every transaction.

So which one is the correct one? Thanks

Of course you will get first 2 IBG at RM0.50 if your account type is Basic Savings Account.

I performed an interbank transaction for the 1st time today and was charged RM2.00 instead of RM0.50. I suspect that the maybank officer that attended to me opened the wrong account.

1. Your friend did not transfer the money
2. Your friend transferred the money to the wrong account

21 Jul was Thursday. Assume that your friend transferred the money to you using instant transfer via Public Bank online, you should have received the money right away. However, if your friend used the old IBG and transferred the money out after Public Bank's daily cut-off time, then you should receive the money before Friday midnight (22 Jul). I am very sure about this nod.gif

If you transfer the money out before 11.30am on a working day, the money will be credited into the account which it is sent on the same day. Otherwise, it will only be made available on the next working day in the evening.

I transferred funds to a seller here (He's using Maybank) yesterday using Quickpay function from Public Bank but he told me that the amount has yet to be credited into his accounts. Is there any server delay of Quickpay functions to Maybank account currently?

Go to the counter to get cash or banker's cheque.

Carrying so much cash in my hands from one bank to another is dangerous and banker's cheque takes too long to clear. The reason why I want to transfer is because some banks have better TT rate than others.
