QUOTE(Denis @ Jun 20 2012, 02:59 PM) I used Maybank2u to transfer my MBB saving account to OCBC, but the charges is RM2 per transaction (one transaction only per month) instead of RM 0.50 per transaction. Any tips for this? You need to use Maybank Basic Savings Account (not Kawanku Savings Account) to perform the IBG to get 50 sen charge for 1st two IBG transacations

QUOTE(Denis @ Jun 21 2012, 09:25 AM) Thank. From the above, for MBB Basic Saving Account, option 2 is more favourable since I don't have to pay RM8 annual fee. Do I miss somethings? Any other hidden cost? BTW, is it possible to transfer MBB Kawanku saving account to MBB Basic Saving Account via Maybank2u? Any charges involve in the transfer? You cannot transfer MBB Kawanku Savings account to Maybank Basic Savings Account. You need to open a brand new account with NEW ATM card + New Maybank2u logon

QUOTE(cempedaklife @ Jul 19 2012, 08:40 PM) Hi all, I've read through all 14 pages here, but i just needed some clarification (pardon me if it's being asked before coz i read all 14 pages, but perhaps i missed some points): - Is paying say, OCBC credit card from MBB consider IBG? Yes- Can i convert my current Saving Account (shown as SA in M2U) to Basic Saving Account? Or should i just open another Basic Saving Account? No. Open a new Basic Savings Account with RM20. If your existing M2U account is link to the Kawanku Savings Account, you need to re-create (that's what I needed to do as BSA must be linked to a new ATM Card)- If can convert, - Can i still pay through M2U (auto credit) to my car loan from MBB? No changes - Can i still transfer from basic saving account to my trading account? No changes

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Jul 24 2012, 11:34 AM) Thanks MilesAndMore, now I feel sad for having normal savings accounts at my banks, didn't know about BSA till now wonder if its worth it to open new BSA just so can use for IBG. Difference of Rm1.50 (actually RM3, I will need to do 2 times a month) each month... Just open another account "Basic Savings Account" to enjoy the "benefit" of 50 sen for first two(2) IBG transaction a month.

Confirm Maybank BSA needs to be primary account + ATM card for new M2U access. Ensure all the accounts are linked to the new ATM card to ensure all MBB accounts are viewable under new M2U logon.

Please add SCB JustOne Account which allows UNLIMITED Interbank GIRO (if you deposit RM1,500 per month). No minimum account balance required as long as you deposit RM1,500 each month.

QUOTE(kopikaki @ Dec 12 2012, 03:28 PM) I also got fund same day when i did IBG lately between Maybank - Public Bank - CIMB. Not promoting Maybank/CIMB, but they have up IBG transaction limit to 10K. Yey, now i can pay my credit card to OCBC in one go. My MBB m2u saver account IBG RM2, ish, but ok lah, cos got little bit interest. That's good... it seem MEPS has "updated" their system... RM10k per day would be great.... I open a Maybank Basic Savings and use that to transfer 50 sen for 1st 2 IBG in a month. This post has been edited by ronnie: Dec 12 2012, 03:31 PM

QUOTE(abhipraaya @ Jan 2 2013, 10:51 AM) just to share, went to home branch today and converted kawanku to basic savings account to enjoy 50cents IBG for first 2 transactions. CS at counter said that it's not possible. luckily i had the e-mail print out from maybank hq CS saying that it's possible. she then submitted my request to another banker. the banker said it's his first time doing it and said he will try first. he tried and it was successfull. he said that with basic account, u cannot issue standing instruction and minimum to maintain is rm20. now i need to test to see if indeed the account has been converted to basic type. he asked to wait 24 hours before doing a IBG. Just check on M2U is the account description is listed as BASIC SAVINGS ACCOUNT and using old account number.
