Hi all,

I am facing a dilemma with the problem after hacking off the wall as shown in the picture. How can I deal with the toilet door and also the wash basin which is situated in the picture?

Feng shui said it's not good to have the toilet door facing the main door when the moment you step into the house. Also it's not good to have the guest room door facing kitchen. And finally the wash basin is situated outside the toilet, so where to move this wash basin?

Not sure where you get the information. Is your stove facing the guest room door? door face kitchen no problem, but not so good direct to stove.

From the attached picture, i assume your main door is on the right of the picture, that is not direct to the toilet door.

If you too concern on FS, better ask some "sifu" to do an audit, over here i doubt you get a accurate or comfortable answer.

Thanks for the FS knowledge!
I am not good in FS so I only hear from ppl abt it.

Yeah, the stove is not directly facing the guest room door, so I am alright here then! biggrin.gif

You are right about the main door which is on the right-side of the picture but what if the sliding door beside the main door is able to see the toilet door from outside, how?

I think its easier to close up the entrance from kitchen area to the toilet and guest room and create a new entrance via the side of the back door access. Then the back door make it to open outwards.

This way, the toilet will not face the kitchen direct but u will then need to reposition the sink near the toilet too. Should cost you less than 2k i think.

However, your sliding door or main entrance facing each other, not good oso. Is the developer chinese??

Just make sure toilet door is close after use, and always close.

For real audit, you need to know your house direction, gua, and house occupant gua number. 3 Main things of a house is Entrance, stove, and Bed. But this is only 20%, the 80% is external environment, aka macro Feng Shui.

I have friends in this industry. And yes did the audit.

If you are already planing to renovate and believe in FS. Can consult them before start work loh. If already have a house, usually they will give you advice, and if possible fix the bed, stove and use less area that are not so conductive. Also give you recommendation what can be change to be better. But most important, is external and surrounding.

If you don't believe, just do what you wish, and what make sense.

You already hacked the wall or not? If not, than better don’t touch
Assuming you hacked the wall
1) The “Air” will from your main door direct to the back yard, which means your $$$ will never keep inside the house
2) As you know it facing the toilet – Can easily get something to block it
3) Direct to the Kitchen, of cause the stove too

Item 1 & 3 is you main concern….

1. I would build a divider between the dining area and the entrance lobby
2. build a sliding door to cover your basin area so that it does not face the main door. however, the divider at the entrance lobby might already solve the problem

i echo ur words. TS, just build a divider between the dining and main door is enough to solve the problem.
however ur toilet door is still facing the sliding door. maybe u should relocate the open gap in front of the toilet to face other side

Perhaps instead of removing the wall, considerate half-cut the top?

Ops...Sorry. Meant instead of break down the whole wall, may want to only break the top and leave another half, than do some decoration and make use of it.
