A quick review on LeeDroid ROM.

Running with it for about two hours, boot animation is changed, screen unlock and lock animation changed, light green color on top and bottom of tab (as indicator as reaching top and bottom of page while scrolling), smoother home screen navigation, smoother screen change (during setting / application exit), % shown in battery widget on notification bar, advance menu for power off button, more free memory (average 114-116mb as compared to my previous stock rom time, with average of 88-92mb)

Charging my phone now and shall report more after test on other features and further monitoring.

sorry to be slowpoke and noob,

1.if I S-Off my Sensation, will it broke my warranty?
2. then when I install custom ROM, can I revert back to original state?
*
1. s-off with rooting will void your warranty
2. if you manage to install custom rom, so you'll be able to install stock rom as well (as in to revert back to stock)

btw, i read that a few ppl got some ppl cannot charge phone once the battery is empty after s-off, and rooted..
this link might help u.. but i think it revert back to original http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1194419

ur barcode works..link to this thread =D
*
the charging issue is caused by cwm recovery, either you wait for a patch for that or just avoid draining you battery only charge it (the charging isnt perform while the phone is off).

i am on my 2nd charge cycle after flashing to custom rom and i have no problem with charging issue (as i never go beyond when my battery hits the last 15%)

btw, after achieved s-off and root, just need to run the RUU (exe file) of asian rom and whoalla, you're back in stock rom.

Brief update on LeedRoid ROM:
Pros:
Improved battery life, smoother interface while starting and exit application, sense hardly crash and restart, % on battery icon

Cons:
Laggy when updating / installing application from market, mail widget take longer time to access to mail application

LeeDroid is currently working on a patch as current version is beta release. Happy flashing mates! =)

s-off unofficially means got ppl hack into sensation n take d code to modify such as the kernal...
dis is dangerous bcoz they might miss some codes especially for sense 3 functionality

s-off officially means they will unlock the boot loader so let ppl explore all d codes so u can customize urself....

if now u s-off ur hp got problem or screw ur hp n cannot revert bck u go service centre, ur warranty will void... thts do at ur own risk...
50-50 percent of chance...

s-off officially also do at ur own risk but at least got 90% chance to revert or recover bck....

simply explain = both got risk but unofficial more risky den official
*
thanks for the clarifications.

whoever root their phone knows the risk and clear that rooting will void warranty. there is one question to htc, if they unlock the bootloader (official s-off), so end user is granted with root access. what if the user screw the coding and brick the phone, will it be still cover under warranty?

User screw coding and brick phone = user error/mistake = usually not covered = my simple logic =P

So do it right the first time!  biggrin.gif
*
Correct. that is why i wonder after htc unlock the bootloader, how are they going to control / verify those unit which is valid for warranty.

in my humble opinion, no worries about official or unofficial s-off.. as long as you're 100% clear with that you're doing and be RESPONSIBLE for what you did then it is alright. Read and understand before any action cos none of us wanna brick our lovely toy! =)

*
thanks for the update.. just about to start flashing v.1.1 hehe.. now gonna download kernel v.1.2 but couldnt open the download link.. all jammed up i guess?? biggrin.gif

EDIT:
flashed with leedroid v.1.1. it is butter smooth interface..semi transparent application menu, advanced quick setting menu (added auto rotation, vibration mode, silent mode, brightness control, volume control), advance power option.

currently ftp download link for leedroid v.1.1 kernel v.1.2 is down.. shall download tomorrow morning and flash it to fix camera flash issue and few other improvements.

shall report with battery performance after a day or two, yet to try the over clocking as that is not my concern since stock clock speed serve me well. cheers mate!

*
just flash the kernel in cwm recovery, dont have to flash the rom again.

btw, according to leedroid developer, there might be another release for kernel update "tonite" at their timezone =)

--EDIT--
ARHD Rom users, v.1.1.4 is released. one of the update is camera flash is fixed but yet to see the download link

Oh ya quick question, to flash to 1.1.4 of ARHD i do not need to wipe right since im on 1.1.3 already?
*
super wipe is not necessary if you're upgrading on ARHD Rom, if you migrate from other ROM, super wipe is a must!
