Yea I like sensation but it's slightly over my budget I saw some Ppl have sense 3.0 on their Incredible s so I'm just wondering does all new htc phone now comes with sense 3.0?

If you're comfortable with modding your (new) phone and installing custom ROM on it I would suggest you go for the Desire HD instead, exact same specs and about the same price with the incredible S too.

I'm pretty sure they have sense 3.0 UI ports to the Desire HD as well. Being released a year ago means that developers had time to fully optimize and perfected the custom ROMS for it

As was mentioned earlier, do not use other phone chargers or unofficial chargers. One quick fix is to remove the battery, press the power button for 10 seconds or better still, press the power button and then leave it alone for 10 minutes or so for all residual charge to be discharged.

For my phone, I personally never experienced such issues. Only issue with me is the occasional wonky power button, sometimes have to press twice, and sometimes it gives me a double press even if I press it once, although I suspect it's related to my custom ROM and the CRT on-off animation.

I made a short call today and unable to hang up.
The screen is black n no response. Then I press power button few times but no response too. Instead it redial back my previous number.

Had no choice but take out battery for reboot purpose.
Am using latest leedroid Rom n faux kernel.

Anyone experience this yet?
*
I don't recommend using other Kernel other than Leedroid's 3.3.0 for the time being, since he modified Faux's 0.1.8 version specifically for Leedroid 3.1 ROM..I haven't experienced any blackscreen problems yet. More than a week already on 3.1 with kernel 3.3

If the HTC is overclocked, can it run on par with Samsung Galaxy S II? And also, how about the Sensation XE biggrin.gif

CF-Bench Scores

Just for your information, 1.5Ghz is the ORIGINAL clock speed for the CPU in Sensation and the CPU is exactly the same as the one in Sensation XE.

I don't use 1.78Ghz on a normal basis because I feel that the slightly extra performance gained is not worth the battery drain. At the end of the day, benchmark scores doesn't really dictate anything. I can clock back to 1.18Ghz and the phone still feels very smooth and responsive without any lag, despite showing much lower CF-Bench scores.

Okay. Do you really need internal memory? I heard that some applications can't be installed externally sad.gif
*
Well, for me at first I also thought that the internal memory is too damn small for a smartphone at that kinda price, but after actually getting it's never been an issue with me since I only install apps that I use. Initially had a lot of games in it, but after a week or so got bored with most of them, uninstalled most of it and only kept some nice ones (paid ones).

If your phone is rooted (not sure really need root or not), most apps can be transferred to SD Card. Additionally, most of the game data is stored in the SD Card, and the actually application itself is very small, mostly around 2-4mb per app, some even smaller. Last but not least, I haven't seem anyone in this thread, V1 and now V2 actually complain that the small internal memory is giving them a hard time in life or daily phone usage, so personally I think that the issue is not as severe as you might think.

Perhaps another option is that you can uninstall system applications that you don't need, that will free up some space as well, but need to be careful and not delete something vital for the phone to operate normally. I'm not confident on that part so I mostly left whatever system applications that come bundled with ROMs alone.

Long story short, no, you don't really need internal memory.

Actually I did tried leedroid kernel but I keep getting HTC sense forced close.
Been trying few version n did many stuff like superwipe but couldn't solve ..
*
I think sense restart/force close is way better than a black scree and a battery pull.

What about stock kernel?, have you tried that?

Stock kernel means the kernel comes together with leedroid Rom ?

Do u have HTC sense close each time boot up?
*
It's the kernel from HTC.

I never had that problem since switching over to Leedroid. It usually happens to me(on other ROM) when I'm using other web browser other than the stock "Internet" browser. If I browse too long, it will get very laggy and sense will restart. Never tried other browsers on Leedroid ROM, I think the stock browser is great already.

Any tried flash XE radio over LeeDroid ROM? forumer in XDA said it better than the recommended radio
*
I tried that, kinda giving me issues, sometimes me mobile data wont enable have to turn it on and off. Same with WI-FI, maybe it's just me though.

"On the inside, the Gingerbread-running HTC Sensation XL is quite similar to the Windows Phone-powered HTC Titan - Qualcomm MSM8255 chipset, featuring a 1.5 GHz Scorpion CPU (single-core) and the Adreno 205 GPU. The RAM amount has been increased from 512 MB to 768 MB, though.
Outside you get a 4.7" S-LCD of WVGA resolution, which makes up for pixel density of 199 ppi. There's a Gorilla Glass panel in front of that to protect it from scratches. The profile of the metal-clad smartphone measures just 9.9mm.
The HTC Sensation XL 8 megapixel main camera is particularly interesting as it features a 28mm wide-angle lens and bright F/2.2 lens, which should improve its low-light performance dramatically. The 720p video-recording isn't quite so impressive, though.
The HTC Sensation XL offers 16GB of internal storage, but sadly that's not expandable through a microSD card slot."
The CPU, GPU is actually inferior to ours in the Sensation Normal. Adreno 220 has much better performance over Adreno 205.
