If it's still available, I suggest you get it from our forumer here who wants to sell it due to incompatibility with his GPS software of choice. I'm pretty sure he is including ALL the accesories as well as the casing he bought for it, and he hasn't registered the warranty so you may still register under your name, just make sure he passes you the purchase receipt as well for validation of purchase.

As for ROM, I would personally recommend Leedroid's. I have been on many other ROMs, and all of them have slight to major issues. If you went through Lee's thread in XDA Forum, you'll see a lot of people complaining, but do bear in mind that MOST of the issues are isolated, because those dimwits couldn't be bothered to read. The same applies to other ROMs as well.

However, at the end of the day, I'm still sticking with Leedroid, despite other ROMs having updated to the Latest HTC Beats ROM base. Why?, It's really bug free and I have NOT experienced any issues at all with the ROM.

Anyway, another suggestion for purchase option if you decide to buy a NEW set is to get it on contract OR through Easy Payment Plan offered by Digi. SenQ for 3 years might be tempting, but chances are the phone is gonna be obsolete at the end of those 3 years.

Number 1: Format the sd card in FAT32, the KB thing (forgot what its called) leave it at default, don't use quick format, just do something till it's finished.

Well, I've tried 5 different ROMS, and it has ALWAYS worked for me regardless. Remember to get the A-GPS mod in the sensation development forum in XDA, it really helps alot in locking sats.

Both processors are the same, MSM8260. HTC Sensation was underclocked by HTC to 1.2Ghz, while XE version was left alone at the original clock speed of 1.5Ghz.

I'm not sure what you're asking, but I'm pretty sure the phone itself doesn't limit data speed. What radio version are you on?, is it the recommended version for Leedroid V3.2?

No such thing as the best single device, all has its own pros and cons. You can also get a Galaxy S2 at that range, and many other models.

What radio are you on?, if you're already on the recommended radio no need to flash since Lee's Rom is still based on the 1.45 RUU not 1.72/1.73 like the XE based ROMS.


ATTENTION:

Guys, if you have bootloops, issues with Leedroid 3.1 Kernel 3.3 or any other ROM, I suspect its more towards user caused issues and less to do with ROM issues.

I mean, I'm using the exact same phone with exact same ROM and Kernel (leedroid), I never had bootloops before, it only reboots when i set my voltage too low but otherwise thats it, never experienced any issues at all.

If you guys have problem, do a full wipe, DO NOT BACKUP SYSTEM DATA with Titanium Backup, only backup user apps + data. Flash ROM, then kernel (if you want to use other kernel) and reboot the phone, go through setup and let it sit for awhile to sync stuff and sort itself out. After that only install themes and whatnot.

For the record, not all MODS work with all ROMS, and a custom MOD for a ROM might not work for newer versions of the ROM.

And my take on apps, DON'T INSTALL TOO MANY DAMN APPLICATIONS, especially those that run A LOT of background services/processes etc. RULE of THUMB, if you use an app less than 5 times a week, YOU DON't NEED IT!, make a backup in TB and uninstall!

Last but not least, READ THE f***ING thread in XDA or whatever forum you found your ROM on, more often than not your issue would have been reported by other users already.

sigh, if what you're saying is true, that would mean each phone can be really "unequal" depending on the situation.

Did his phone have any problems when he was unrooted and on stock ROM?

If I may suggest try to avoid Kingston, go with Sandisk.

As for class 10 or not, I'm personally using class 4 and I have no problems with my Full HD video taking. Just that transferring large files to the phone will take awhile.

Btw, those are SDHC Card. For our phone you need to look at Micro SDHC, and it NOT Micro SDXC either.
