no official update. but if you want to update from froyo to gingerbread, there is ROM from india (original Spice ROM) in xda forum. please google "MI350 gingerbread xda forum" and you'll find the rom. require phone to be flash though. not recommended for basic android user.

slow as expected from low spec phone. for faster GPS, switch on AGPS with data.

Mi350 AKA Lenovo A60, Viewsonic V350, Mutchel A2 are the same phone & this phone has been exploited long time ago !

Steps to Install
1. Install mobileuncle apk
2. Flash recovery.img
3. Reboot to recovery & install Yonip 5.2
4. Setup Google Play
5. Install Yonip 5.1 Market fix

And you'll have a fully functional Lenovo A60 ICS Theme on your Mi350 !

I have even ported it to Mi357 & it is working great with 1.5GB Internal Storage (hacks included with this ROM to use your SdCard as Internal Storage. With this you can install unlimited apps without the constantly annoying popup of low storage problem)

Its quite simple to install as all tools have been develop nowaday compare to those at Eclair & Froyo era. If there is anything you don't understand, you can follow the forum thread there loh... Everything is explained there...

i downloaded, installed & flash my csl mi350 with the recovery files provided and it just stuck at the screen indicating
'enter recovery mode'.

i perform the keys combination to enter the recovery mode after rebooting and the same thing is happening [stuck at 'enter recovery mode' message] so i think the recovery is dead but nvm since this model is not releasing any updates and probably won't gonna so i pretty much nt going to need the recovery tools. in case there happens to be a recovery that works on my model i can still flash it with the mobile uncle [thanks for the tools, i don't need to search on google again].

this happened on me when i tried to flash my recovery using the levono a60 custom recovery last year. As a result i think levono a60 model's recovery is not gonna work with csl mi350, muchtel a2 as well as viewsonic v350 because out of these models levono a60 is slightly different.

about the gingerbread firmware 2.3.5 or the stock firmware that is released for levono a60 is not gonna work with another 3 models mentioned earlier since the custom recovery is not supported and you dun wanna try it because i've tried them all [not working because only levono a60 has a camera button or wadsoever button (i forgot it) needed to be pressed for the tool (there is a flash utility for levono a60) to begin the flashing process].

*anyway, these are my experience and thanks for the beautiful ics theme just too bad i don't know how to apply it to my phone
*if you guys really have your csl mi350 flashed successfully using the levono a60 custom rom(s) would you please share how to do it

... actually i just get bk to tis thread to c if there's any new firmware comin up for this model and i'm currently still looking for the stock firmware of this phone [ in .nb0 extension ]

funny, fellow 1Malaysia, faxist also manage to recover his brick CSL Mi-350...

try this recovery & see if it works...Found it on this forum...If it still doesn't work, use the search function there, i'm sure you'll find a solution...

Tips : Once running 5.2, uninstall All Call Recorder, this is the culprit causing frequent screen on/ off problem... If you still wanna use, look for Call Recorder. Now, all your friends cannot say, ' I never said that to you on the phone mah... '

follow the guide but my win7 x64 refuse to install the mi320 driver hence the flashing doesnt recognise the device. any idea?

you can use the driver here...As mention before, all solutions can be found there, search using the correct keyword & read thru it all...

I have installed Mobileuncle tools, and placed the recovery.img in my SDcard root. But when i pressed flash recovery from SD card, it said to root my phone first. Help

It keeps having problems. For the superoneclick, it keeps hanging at the "daemon not running. Started on port 5037" then "daemon started successfully" then it just hangs.

As for the A60 tools v2, my phone does not have a menu button to push. only the volume and a touch pad.

So im like super confused. Ughhh that low storage space thing is killing me...

For SOC2.3.3 to work, go to settings -> application settings -> Development -> 'tick' USB debugging & restart SOC...

For A60 tools v2, run the program & press 1...

For SOC2.3.3 i did enable usb debugging. A few windows popped up asking me to forcefully install some drivers and i clicked yes, then it just said that whole daemon thing and hanged from there onwards.

For the A60 tools v2, dont i need to put it into recovery mode or something? The tut said that I need to press the volume down button and the menu button. How to press the menu button whn there is memang no menu button.

It was so much easier to jailbreak my ipod. LOL.

i think u didn't install the USB & ADB driver, thats why SOC cannot work...

you can try this official driver from Spice...

The MENU button is 2nd from the left... i just click 1 while the phone is switch on, donno if mine is already rooted that why it work ?

Yeah, once u get use to it then you can root any android phone...

Dear abang, thats not my phone. Mine is the newer model, i think. CSL Spice Mi-350. But its okay. Manage to root it using ADB drivers from android and SOC1.7 with rageaginstthecage.

But oh well, i guess no getting a custom flash for mah phone. I'll just be patient and hopefully find it one day.

you can try banjo's latest custom rom A60_ROM_YonipMod_V.5.3-S109 with data2ext mod, max you can get is 1.5GB of internal memory...(thats the stable max limit)

How do you upgrade your CSL-Mi350 from stock 2.2.2 to 2.3.x ?

I always stuck with signature verification issue at Recovery Mode 3e; when trying to load with 3rd party ROM.
(e.g. V350 ROM, A60 ROM, Custom ROM- Banjo etc)
How do you workaround that issue.
Tried to follow instruction on google to disable signature verification, it doesn't work.
