I prefer to use daemon controller. Use v2.21 beta.

If you got problem, try check in /system/etc/ by using Root Explorer. Try see got virtuous_oc folder or not. But if let say you use oc beater, you can change the freq and governors in there. Also, by using Terminal Emulator, you can check and change the frequencies / gov also.

First time lock, should take around 10 minute to lock GPS. If you apply a case, open the case first.

QUOTE
Governors for NOOBS  tongue.gif :
interactive - Instead of sampling the cpu at a specified rate, the governor will scale the cpu frequency up when coming out of idle. When the cpu comes out of idle, a timer is configured to fire within 1-2 ticks. If the cpu is 100% busy from exiting idle to when the timer fires then we assume the cpu is underpowered and ramp to MAX speed.
smartass - Is an improved version of interactive governor
ondemand – Available in most kernels, and the default governor in most kernels. When the CPU load reaches a certain point (see “up threshold” in Advanced Settings), ondemand will rapidly scale the CPU up to meet demand, then gradually scale the CPU down when it isn't needed.
conservative – Available in some kernels. It is similar to the ondemand governor, but will scale the CPU up more gradually to better fit demand. Conservative provides a less responsive experience than ondemand, but can save battery.
performance – Available in most kernels. It will keep the CPU running at the “max” set value at all times. This is a bit more efficient than simply setting “max” and “min” to the same value and using ondemand because the system will not waste resources scanning for CPU load.
powersave – Available in some kernels. It will keep the CPU running at the “min” set value at all times.
userspace – A method for controlling the CPU speed that isn't currently used by SetCPU. For best results, do not use the userspace governor.
brazilianwax - Very agresive version of smartass
interactiveX - Tweaked Interactive governor by Imoseyon by adding more features like suspend/wake profile
ondemandX - Tweaked and ported from 2.6.38 base Ondemand governor by Imoseyon by adding more features like suspend/wake profile

Recommended to use Ondemand for wake and Conservative for sleep.

Some will use Smartass as their wake. nod.gif

You want your phone to perform well ..? Try performance and set cpu > 1.5Ghz. Sure very smooth + battery life die young fast. brows.gif

Ondemand (w/out X).. But for sure you can try OndemandX also, no harm. Yup, that freq ok already. Mine sleep max 307200. (depend on which kernel you use)

Btw, my setting |

By using Terminal. Of course it is working. By typing right command, and of course I need to turn off and on my phone to check whether this OC/UV work or not.

Check from the logcat (the blue screen terminal, the command I enter will respond only when I turn off / on my phone.

So now I set my gov to OndemandX.

So which MIUI version (by dev) you want to flash ..? brows.gif

^ fisherman10
Should say that it depends on you, the user. You are free to flash any radio, as long as it give you good network coverage, no intermittent voice when talking to someone, wifi signal better etc etc, then ok already.

Nice nice. Systune included. It's an cpu tuner app. So no need to flash any other OC/UV daemon or script. Using SCI MIUI before but now switched to Freshly Squeezed Edition™

1) That yongbao of course la 3rd party battery, original one should be from HTC la. doh.gif

2) All that 300mb data is a game data. You need that in order to play the game. Depends on game, but 300mb game data is normal. If you want to delete the game, just uninstall it WITHOUT clearing the data. You can check in your SD card, should be in folder of the game. Mostly Gameloft game are stored in gameloft folder.

3) Some apps will still running in background, it must. Ya, you can use ATK to kill the data. But I prefer not to use any task killer, wasting battery life. Because that certain apps will running back in background.

But very troublesome to merge, need to do 1 by 1. Not like Sense, auto merge and can select all duplicate contacts. doh.gif

Basically kernel is created using Linux. You can describe kernel as a driver for your phone. It stores wifi driver, display driver, camera, audio and so on.. Let just say Android is a car, then kernel is the driver.

Check in "about phone", what kernel a user (<--- dev) use.. I guess it should be LordMod kernel but I'm not sure which version. No need changing kernel also fine already.

1) If you like it, just enable it or vice versa. Battery affect not much.

2) If using Sense, yes. You need to flash combo (radio+RIL). If AOSP, you can change radio but just don't bother about RIL. AOSP using G-RIL, different from Sense build.
