Dear friend...

1. There is no such thing as best rom. It will depends on what you expect and what you want. Therefore try and you will know which is the best. Simple example, many people use Litening and say it is good. Yes it is good but I don't like it. Too blue-ish tongue.gif

Trying VR lite tomorrow.
SensatioN 1.2 is stable but battery is a little rough. I like this because the mod does customization depending on the user's (us) requests which is great.
Litening - do I need to explain more why people love this rom?
Batista - great for saving battery.

2. Yes.

Been using the Galaxy S II for a week and here are some of my negative findings which are nagging me:

- After using for some time after the last reboot (a day or so), pressing the home button will take a while before actually bringing you to front screen
- It gets hot during charging and playing intensive games. Dont mind when its in my hands, but mind when i slip it into my pocket. But im using the Case Mate tough case, so im sure that doesnt help cooling tongue.gif
- Colour banding issue is very apparent to me. Quite irritating
- Colour is very vibrant. Too much contrast for my liking, but this is personal preference
- Battery life is quite bad, but this is because i was spoiled by old tech phones which doesnt use much power. Frankly speaking, most high end phones have short battery life. Its the cost of great power and large screen
- Screen has some uneven lighting, especially two darkish vertical lines at the background. Only noticable when viewing full white screen

Now for the pros:

- Very fast! This thing flies. Rarely got lag.
- Great viewing angles
- Very thin and light. Too thin isnt good for me, but with the case mate tough, just perfect. And the light weight means it doesnt drag my pockets down
- So far quite satisfied with speaker phone loudness, earphone sound quality

Thats it for now smile.gif. No one phone is the best, but this is one of the top ones money can buy right now.

@daijoubu
The slow homescreen button is because when the phone goes into sleep or deep sleep, it will take a little time for it to boot up. That was what I read though smile.gif

Launcher Pro Plus
Juice Defender Ultimate
Tegrak Ultimate
SetCPU
Swift Key X

Once you are bored with all those roms, get yourself ROM manager premium to try CM7. A must try honestly.

Unfortunately the lag happens not only when i wake the device up. Even when im in the applications menu, and i want to get out to the home menu, it'll lag for 2-3 seconds after i press the home button, before it gets into the home menu sad.gif

Weird...however I myself do experience with such too at times. Especially when I install too many stuff without thinking. Lol...sometime some roms just give me 100% smoothness while others, not so good lo.

this is really sad, I have just collected my s2 today from samsung service centre (yellowish tint issue). Now my screen top right corner have a big white spot and somewhere in the middle have one small white circle. It is definitely not dead pixel. sigh, will be returning to samsung tomorrow.
