LOL.. Since u posted a long post.. haha..
This kweng is actually more like a middleman.. He arranges the specs and exhaust components.. Then u go install at his panel workshops like that..
Which part of our engine using alloy ah??
Then i think the new engine need to use Magnacrap ady..
But u want to get 150hp on our NA Campro u need around 15-20k.. Turbocharge it only cost 5-8k..

Works 1 PAIR (2x camshaft) + ACP - RM 2.7k.
Standalone ECU (no need so expensive lah, take the mid range wan can d (Haltech) ) - ~RM 3k.
P&P - ~RM 1k.
Works Air filter - RM 150.
Spark plugs - RM 150.
LCP - RM 650.

What else? Exhaust system mau kira? If kira then for BoT have to kira also cos BoT requires a different exhaust setup.

The BOT kit AFAIK doesn't include many parts that would make the engine last. They use back many stock parts, and I suppose the most worthy of the kit is the turbine & the ECU. For turbo u wanna go 170 WHP, can, no problem, but how high u wanna boost? Till ur engine block crack?

Hi-cam + ACP = 2.7k.
LCP = depends, Mythelogy 600 Works 400 (if I'm not mistaken?)
Full exhaust = ~1k.
Carbon airbox, Works = 400. R3 = around 1k? OR u can go for K&N air intake with heat shield. Costs around the same as works also, if not slightly more.

Usually ppl sumbat GSR lah.. But mivec also can.. Not sure if have to change mounting or not.. Plenty of Gen2s did that already.. But if they can pass JPJ, I don't think nid to change mounting lah.. Unless they spoonfeed the JPJ ppl.. blink.gif

Cheap meh? Nowadays Mivecs & GSRs not cheap lo brader.. Belum kira installation fees yet.. JPJ application fees yet.. Plus the period of time u have to go car-less...

Quite worrying also lah if done too quickly.. Scared the mechanic inexperienced cincai rush n install then left this out left that inside the engine bay.. But my previous installation I left my car there for a week.. They removed my stock engine, cleaned up the engine bay, repaint & everything then installed the new engine.. Looks quite neat n clean lo..

If u were to turbocharged ur car, u can actually maintain ur FC around the same region but increase hp.. But when u install high cam in ur car.. Straightaway say bye bye to ur FC... There is no such thing as good FC and high powered NA engine.. In NA engines u either choose low end torque or high end power.. In turbo charged cars u can use staged boost setup.. So u can have low end boost with VGT or BBT and extra boost when u reach the high end part.

The tech talk was about piston compression.. NA must use high comp to get high power.. Turbocharged must use low comp, or not engine will knock or blow.. With NA engine and high cam MUST use RON97 or higher.. Turbocharged can still use RON95..
GSR terbalik can.. But nowadays GSR and Mivec engines all around 10-15years old ady.. No point getting those engines.. The tech is too old and not efficient anymore..

But u get an old engine, unknown mileage, and lots of hidden 'goodies'... I personally favour getting a good car with a good base engine and mod it off from there.. Furthermore nowadays GSR and Mivec CK engines are getting more and more expensive ady.. in 2002 u can get a GSR terbalik 1.8 for only RM3k. Now the same engine with higher mileage is going for around 8-10k at least.. not including installation..
Nope no chance of better FC.. when u install high cam ur low end speed will have very high FC.. around 1.5-2L/100km higher..
True also.. Campro engines are long stroke.. meant for turbocharging more than NA.. Efficient NA engines with high horsepower are not long stroke engines.. For example K20A and F20C engines.. they have bigger bore than stroke ratio.. and they have high horsepower per litre >100bhp:1000cc.. Long stroke engines are suited for turbo application more like RB26DETT, GSR 1.8T etc. U can see that these engines are very durable as the longer stroke helps to clear more vacuum in the combustion chamber for a longer period, allowing the air and fuel to mix more evenly b4 combustion.. and there are alot more other stuffs as well..
BOT got anti-lag system now mah.. Nowadays continental car boost kicks in at around 1.8k-2k RPM.. Full boost by 3k RPM and the full boost of around 1bar can hold on till the end of the rev.. In msia all those kucing kucing modders pakai GSR 1.8T, Mivec CK kind of engines where got good and effecient? those are considered the 2nd generation of turbocharged engines only.. Nowadays turbo engines are at their 5th evolution process ady..

Syarat-syarat yang perlu dipatuhi ketika membuat pertukaran enjin:

1.Penukaran hendaklah mengikut peraturan-peraturan yang diisytiharkan di dalam Kaedah-Kaedah Kenderaan Bermotor (Pembinaan & Penggunaan)1959 L.N. 170/1959.
2.Keadaan struktur keseluruhan kenderaan hendaklah baik terutamanya pada bahagian rangka casis (chassis frame).
Tiada pengubahan struktur dilakukan pada ‘front cross member’, ‘steering linkage’ dan ‘steering box’.
3.Tiada pengubahsuaian pada ‘base engine mounting’ dan tiada kimpalan pada struktur tambahan ‘engine mounting’.
4.Kenderaan model Proton SELAIN Proton Perdana tidak dibenarkan membuat penukaran enjin berkeupayaan 2000cc..
5.Pelepasan asap kenderaan tersebut mestilah tidak melebihi 50% ‘opacity’. (Bagi enjin diesel sahaja).
6.Lulus pengujian tahap kecekapan sistem brek di lorong pemeriksaan.

Still cannot. Even if it's 25%. 1597 x20/100 = 399.25. 399.25 + 1597 = 1996.25. Evo X 4B11T is 1998 CC. brows.gif

Mana boleh masuk? If wan transplant 4B11T into Vios definitely have to change mounting. And the % of CC is applicable to ALL transplants, not only proton cars..
