Well, let' try to make an intelligent guess

Sapphire X800GT retails at newegg about USD159/= which by direct conversion is about RM604.20. Local market retails it at RM750/=, so about a 25% markup overall. So for the X800GTO retailing about USD192/=, we're talking about -+RM900/=. Suddenly it doesn't sound like a worthwhile buy. But if what I'm speculating earlier is true at about RM850, the we have a bargain rocket in our hands to play with.

Although interestingly at newegg, the Connect3d X800GTO has a molex connector on it. Possibly a real unlockable X800XT card?

Ok, ok...enough about the price speculation here. Now what we need is numbers of the benchie kind as I'm particularly interested in those. However , with recent rumours and developements of RV530, I just might swing over to the R5XX series GPU's which seem to offer better performance. Personally have an eye fixed upon it as the target date to sambar one of these GPU's is around January 2006.

Anyone else using this card? Do please keep this topic alive with personal benches and experiences

I'd doubt that as even bulk's are going at RM850 and bulks are meant to pass on savings to us buyers. Shops in general has to have a higher mark up generally.

Wrong as GT specced proc's regardless R423 or R480 are laser cut to be at 8 pipelines. Unless someone can post some proof of unlocked pipelines. the only thing flashing to R480 BIOS will be more to allowance of more stable higher core clock speeds. Only the GTO specced (Particularly the GTO2's) are BIOS locked in terms of pipelines enabled. Do check the articles over at XS for more info

Laser cut would mean that the connections linking those pipelines have been physically disabled by cutting using lasers the links itself

Errr correction, comes stock 12 pipes, but requires BIOS flashing to enable 16 pipeline operation

RM920 according to some bulkers. But am hearing quite a good number of successful unlocks using the Connect3D GTO

Proof please as AFAIK, Vista recommends PCI-e GFX for the bi-directional support and 256Mb on board mem due to the fact the desktop rendering will not be in bitmaps but rather using shaders
