QUOTE(Quantum_thinking @ Jul 30 2011, 10:17 PM) This product warranty also covers lightning surge damages right? I am not the official from Aztech. Personalty I don't think is warranty also covers lightning surge damages. Added on July 31, 2011, 6:52 pmQUOTE(spikyz @ Jul 30 2011, 02:13 PM) bro im looking to buy this router, what is your review? is ok? how does it compare with d-link or tplink 3g router? I have no idea since I haven't try using the other 3G router. Maybe u can compare the spec http://www.tp-link.com/lk/products/details...=TL-MR3420#spec For Aztech spec refer to 2nd post. Added on July 31, 2011, 7:12 pm tp-link TL-MR3420 I don't think it can use as Print server and net. drive function. This post has been edited by wkkm007: Jul 31 2011, 07:12 PM

QUOTE(Kyl3 @ Aug 1 2011, 01:35 PM) Is there a way for you to track the data usage after using this router? Can't track anymore ur data usage. Software tracking not accurate with ur ISP tracking. Have to refer ur ISP. Myself using U broadband prepaid can check via USSD *118#.

QUOTE(Kyl3 @ Aug 1 2011, 03:26 PM) Does the router supports USSD on itself then? To do the *118# request No the router does not supports USSD on itself. U have to use a mobile phone or any other method. For postpaid broadband eg maxis they offer web portal to check usage. I guess prepaid only can use USSD to check. So, do u all want to add to the list? BTW, this HW550-3G just a router that no build in modem function. Still need a 3G modem dongle or ADSL modem(TM streamyx). 3g wireless gateway, no need 3G modem dongle. The 3G modem build in already so there is a sim card slot/tray to slot in the card. I believe this have higher gain/ reception strength due to power by direct power suply not via USB port which only 5V. Last time Maxis got provide rental this type modem and now pull out already. This not cheap need approximate RM400 source: http://www.3gmodem.com.hk/Huawei/E960.htmlThis post has been edited by wkkm007: Aug 2 2011, 07:57 PM

QUOTE(Quantum_thinking @ Aug 6 2011, 10:50 AM) I see. I thought tat its warranty covers the lightning surge damages. Looks like my Belkin lightning surge protector is a real worthwhile investment. Aiya Belkin good in surge protector power adapter ma. I think ur Belkin router which build in surge protector. Btw, I am using Belkin power adapter for my pc and my router.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 8 2011, 07:20 AM) Huawei E1762, you will need to update the firmware most likely if you bought it last year. http://www.aztech.com/support/downloads/pr...category=prod3gRead this to understand more: http://suibian-anything.blogspot.com/2009/...ess-n-plus.htmlHowever for ZTE MF190, I'm not so sure. Nice job @ digilife Can use ur E1762 on this router? Do u want to be added to the list? This post has been edited by wkkm007: Aug 8 2011, 04:47 PM

QUOTE(digilife @ Sep 4 2011, 12:48 PM) i just discovered some thing good abt this router i am using the DiGi Prepaid Internet, the speed is DL 384kbps and UL 128kbps as stated here Q13 What is the speed for Limited Edition Prepaid Internet Plan? A13 Likely Average Speed • Download: 384 kbps (within Turbo 3G™ Coverage) • Upload: 128kbps DG Prepaid Internetand i did a ST with the modem connected to my lappie the DL was 380kbps UP speed was 110kbps BUT if i use the Router i get this result meaning this Router can bypass DiGi's throttle UL speed ? Nice sharing BTW only DIGI know haha
