Hi everyone. Has anyone noticed that the Appstore download & login are extremely slow (and failing most of the time) since about a week ago?

It is happening on these devices :
1) iPhone 4
2) iPad2
3) iTunes on Windows7

I am using Maxis Broadband + the MiFi device (have also tried an Aztech USB modem; same result). The internet speed for all other activities (web surfing, YouTube, emails, etc) are all OK. Speedtest.net is reporting >2Mbps download most of the time.

On Apple Appstore, listing/searching of apps are fast (normal); however when I try to login, it will take a long time/fail. If I am already login, then the app download will take a long time (usually >15 min) before it will begin (and then proceeding slowly; failing very often).

Oddly enough, updating of my subscribed podcasts (iTunes on Win7) are still speedy (as usual).

Ever since apple sever hits 1million download for their new OSX Lion.
That could be a reason behind this heavy traffic in mean time.

iTunes Version : 10.4.0.80
PC/MAC : Win 7
Jailbreaking software : none
Problem Encountered : iTunes could not back up the iPhone because the backup could not be saved on the computer.
Steps Taken So Far : plug to computer directly without any usb hub, using original cable, remove old backup
Other Information/Remarks : previously get this also but solved after doing a clean new restore and lose all my game save data.

any solution??? why keep on got such problem??

Added on July 26, 2011, 12:38 amHe is on 4.3.4 and not jailbroken (not sure if he has jailbroken before) so suggesting him to restore to 4.3.3 will probably cause him to get unnecessary errors.

Did you do this --> delete the "corrupted" backup in iTunes which can be found here

iTunes>Preferences(under the edit menu if using Windows)>Devices...your backups are listed here. You can highlight them, then hit the delete button

If you have done the above and it's still not working, then something is wrong somewhere ....

i tried all the steps above..the only solution is a clean restore..but i wan to know, why it is so frequent?..my phone problematic?..i bought my phone last Nov..use until June 2011 and go for warranty coz Lock button was stucked..then i get a replacement unit...then this problem start to happen...

if is my phone faulty, how to convince the stupid digi centre people so that they give me another replacement set?
