Just remembered, how do I get an exemption from LAN subjects? I have my results slip from Taylor's, C in Malaysian Studies, A in Moral Studies.

QUOTE(zstan @ Jan 5 2012, 02:41 PM) On another note, if you are free, just drop by Monash to ask about how to get exemptions. Their office are at Building 2 level 2. Can just ask the receptionist. Now still not much people and you can get your exemption quite fast and can fix any problems if there are hiccups. Once orientation is over there will be many people applying so if you are free better get it done first. I spent a morning going back to school and getting my SPM photocopy certified, syllabuses of both Malaysian Studies and Moral and my LAN transcript from college. Finally it is done! I can collect my transcript from Monash anytime. |

QUOTE(satsugai @ Feb 16 2012, 12:40 AM) doesn't each school have their own talk? better go cos they let you know the subjects you should be doing for your first sem(if you don't know already). My first sem subjects are all compulsory though. We can take ONE elective in our second sem and that is about it for the first year I think. |

QUOTE(bluetowels @ Feb 20 2012, 10:05 PM) I'm probably going with my roommate. It's really boring without a car so any opportunity to get out of the residence is a plus. Heh, I skipped the free lunch and headed to Pyramid with some old friends. Orientation had useful information. The refreshments were slightly better for the international student briefing than the lunch we had. Oh don't forget there's 50% off for all frappes at Starbucks from 6-8pm up till the 29th! 6pm to 8pm? NOOOOO! |

Er haven't you graduated? anyways, WES (and most of the) systems were down... i think it is back up now right? it was up b4 i left uni... and usually first sem, they enrolled it for u right? QUOTE(evofantasy @ Feb 21 2012, 09:01 PM) i am a staff there =p Oh LOL OOPS was standing behind >.< oh the enrollment questionnaire... is it up now? else jz try tomorrow cause the system crashed today =.=" Er, WES still won't let me do anything. According to my friend in School of Arts, also same for her. But the IT problem more geram because we kena kick from ITS to IT Course Management to Student Services and still no resolution. The comps in the lab also won't let certain people sign in. QUOTE(satsugai @ Feb 21 2012, 09:25 PM) So yeah, just bring your laptop in case, if anything, it's a distraction if the briefing is boring like the learning skill guys talk today... That learning skills talk was really painful. I could see people playing Temple Run in Audi 1 This post has been edited by secondrate: Feb 21 2012, 10:11 PM |

QUOTE(evofantasy @ Feb 21 2012, 10:37 PM) young guy spiky hair wit the sweater lol... Haha, alright, we'll see how it goes. I don't remember seeing you because honestly la the whole day seeing all the new places and all the new faces, I felt so lost by the end. The campus is quite small (well compared to the Australian ones like Clayton) but everything is connected. I'm lucky I found Room 9303 at all.do u have any programming or IT background? cause i was from a pure science background and i survived BCS lolx... anyways the basic thing i learn about BCS core (Comp Science, Algo and Data Structures and the 3rd year unit which i forgotten the name) is that pay attention to understanding instead of memorizing... i usually dont write notes during lecture and jz focus on trying to understand lolx... the moment u understand how things are modeled and process, everything becomes much easier... i can help u if u have any question on those units (though i dun remember tat well anymore haha)... not sure what's wrong, maybe the system crash did roll back everything... try it tomorrow and see cause i am involved with the orientation stuffs at all since i am on the research side... Actually I was having problems doing it since yesterday but I thought it was because I was supposed to do it with the rest of the school. |
