First batch graduated in 2010.

i think there's a misunderstanding there... 'graduated' in 2010 at that time means leaving the monash msia campus to monash aus bcoz monash msia didnt have the facilities to allow for practical/clinical part of the course.. so those students that 'graduated' in 2010 are actually leaving for the aus campus.. and i believe this is true for the first 4 batch/2 first year of the course

correct me if i am wrong..

QUOTE(newbzie @ Nov 4 2013, 05:47 PM)
btw alaskanbunny, when i land, do i have to go directly to the university?
or can i go the next day?
reason is , my flight will be landing late at night, so... i don't think uni is open that time.
*
no, since you are landing at night.. i would suggest you book in advance and stay at sunway piramid hotel/ sunway resort and spa... you can call them and ask for discount or just book from here

http://www.agoda.com/sunway-resort-hotel-s...d%3d&tyra=1%7c2

http://www.agoda.com/sunway-pyramid-hotel/...d%3d&tyra=1%7c1

around rm 300-400/night before tax... then drop by monash the next morning before you check out... apply for late check out...

do you have a confirmed accommodation yet?

nice recommendation of hotel bunny, but i dont think newbzie got such a huge budget haha.too bad in sunway there is nothing else at a lower pricing point and quite ok at the same time(sun inn n that hotel in sunway metro is considered budget hotel haha)

if only empire hotel subang was nearer i would have recommended that instead

imho the room is very small for me @@

i took this pic i went for viewing

http://imgur.com/7qfmjo0

the en-suite room is attached bathroom instead of a shared bathroom , im not sure whether roomsize its bigger though

lagoonview but need to view the rooms 1st.pictures can be deceiving sometimes
and some of the rooms are not that cheap compared to SMR

Nautica is very nice as well but its pretty far and quite expensive as well.you might need a bicycle
have a look at SLV Community facebook page to get an idea of rental, etc

lol usually i pick up on this stuff late...

anyhow ryan , i think i'll stay maybe a sem in smr , then see with friends to move about to outside place.
usually rent is suppose to be on the less expensive side..
here it seems rent is quite high , i'll have to figure out within the sem if i'll stay in smr or shift out with friends.
ah the headache of searching for a room...
nautica seems to charge about 5500 for a complete flat, or around 1500 for a room.
not sure how lagoon view holds up , it seems to be more closer to monash than nautica , but again like u said , come there and see the room rather than not be sure.

@junolow , where are u staying as of now?

of course the rent in SMR is high, it's just next to the university. you can wake up 10 minutes before class starts and still reach on time
