My friend from business applied before and if I remember it correctly, your grade will be pass or fail only.

My mistake Just asked him again, he said he applied for near pass under the near pass policy.... (I have no idea what this is, maybe only applicable for business faculty?) but according to him, you can apply it if your score is very near to the passing score. But he said you can take the supplement paper in the middle of the next semester but it is usually harder. I think you should probably ask the course manager in your faulty to clear things up

You can consider PJS9 housing area, it's a gated housing area and the rent is relatively cheap compared to Lagoon View, Sunway Monash Residence and Sun U residence for the same room with similar utilities.

There are plenty of rooms for rent now. You can try to search caribilik. But then if you're driving parking is a big issue in Monash.
