Mainly about the oil recommendation, and the understanding of mineral, synthetic oil. Notice the web don't say anything about semi-synthethic, so I guess we can all forget about it.
Then, the understanding of oil "W" values... what viscosity means... This post has been edited by alexei: Jul 23 2011, 08:18 PM |

QUOTE(Aaron135LC @ Jul 20 2011, 11:13 PM) More like 50+. 37degree is last century liao..EO is the more you use, the more cair it is, and the lighter it becomes. The reason if it becomes thick, is becoz of carbon. Or because the previous oil change is too long, causing too much carbon build up so the new EO once tukar masuk will already have too much old carbon to clean need to change after 500-1000km. Then, your engine will become loose, noisy, and makes u think the new EO is lousy whereas it is doing its job cleaning the engine and sepatutnya is the old EO that is bad... Or if there's air leaking into the EO chamber causing oxidation. EO cover must be tight, don't let air or moisture go into the EO area. If anti-oxidant agent used up, it will start to oxidize your engine parts. Peace... |

QUOTE(NewGUY @ Jul 21 2011, 01:50 PM) EO cair, engine berat and EO new or pekat, engine ringan, correct? Terbalik... it cair because the oil molekul sudah putus... engine easier to have friction or gear shearing.QUOTE(NewGUY @ Jul 21 2011, 01:50 PM) bro,u saw any SN grade EO around, the budakmentah buy the oil from canada is SN grade..... tak tau lah this one, don't follow market closely. Worth to try. I'll watch out for new stuff.QUOTE(NewGUY @ Jul 21 2011, 01:50 PM) remember, u mention SG grade got more ZZD/ZDD or something, i red somewhr, the SL grade the additives still a lot more than SM grade, so minimum can use at SL grade d lo... ZDDP. I read more and more, learn that problem happen for race car lah.SL, SM, SN all can use. Check for and API G* grade also, which is for gear one. @thianz: 5W-30 or 0W-30 oil for you... |

@Shyan, why can't just pick up the phone and call him?
@budakmentah: weird... could be the CDI is smart enough to know you're in gear 1, and the ignition timing is different make the bike hard to start? I don't know. Why wanna start engine in gear 1? This post has been edited by alexei: Jul 23 2011, 12:31 AM |

@budakmentah: If neutral can start, and if in gear 1, the engine can turn when u press the starter, battery no problem. This post has been edited by alexei: Jul 23 2011, 12:33 AM |

without the valve cap, the coolant will boil and cause scaling inside block. longer u use the hotter the block need to throw away don't go and destroy coolant cap....

racing car all change to high pressure radiator cap, you all go and reduce it pulak. newguy is right about scaling will affect thermal performance. i guess 1.1 psi ok, whatever it is make sure coolant level and spare ok and coolant pipe is bleed properly also
