Help! The phone is stuck in reboot loop. "IDEOS" will come up, sparkle and shine animation plays and then dark screen. Then it starts again. It keeps on loopng this over and over again. only basic rooting has been done to this phone. Nothing else...

What i did was, i install clockwork recovery by going into the recovery mode, by pressing power button + volume up and down and when screen turn pink connect usb cable to pc.

Just copy paste the clockwork recovery.img(can download from 1st page) and replace the phone's recovery.img.(do backup the phone recovery.img though). After that pull out the usb cable and take out the battery.

After that turn on the phone, press power + volume up and you will boot into clockwork recovery. Choose the option factory reset and press power button to confirm. Reboot phone and it should be ok.

Just bought this phone in black. Now I have both Huawei Sonic & X5.

X5 is so much faster. The 1st unit of Sonic that I got had a problem with the volume rocker. That (& sour-faced salesgirl who gave crappy service) nearly made me give up on Huawei. Thank God I got a replacement.

Sonic looks better though, sleek with no camera lens poking out like X5. People thought I have HTC in my hands.

Owh, yeah. The screen sensitivity on X5 is slightly less responsive than Sonic. Just a little. Can't wait for Gingerbread. 1 month with Sonic, I'm already missing pretty Gingerbread...

I want to give 1 of these to my sister. That's why I bought the X5 today.

anyone had this prob b4? yest my phone battery ran flat, so i recharge and turn it on, after i turn it on, it prompt me for google login, like how you turn on your phone for the 1st time, then most of my apps are crashing, launcher pro, switchpro, handcent and etc, and i'm forced to reinstall everything, the worst case is, my contacts all gone and when i attempt to sync from google, ntg , still empty -.-

owh, btw, its on stock rom

ouch. that bad man. have you ever use android before? kinda weird that the contact unable to sync from google. maybe before this it was unable to sync properly, thats why it unable to restore the contact.
btw, some application may crash our system. happen to me last week. shock like dead man. the phone unable to boot. then after root and run CWM, wipe all, then only can reboot. Huhu.. seem stock room kinda fragile meh. need to be careful installing apps.
