finally my phone able to re boot. i root it and run CMW the wipe/restore factory.

sigh.. had to root the phone finally. so my warranty void ady? can it be un root back?

you should be able to unroot by putting back the boot.img, just rev the cmw install

Added on August 14, 2011, 6:17 amnvr i figure out ady. gosh.. i spend 3 hours 2 fix my phone. lucky got guide at FP, modaco and xda dev.

rite i now using oxygen 110811. when 1st try install custom rom, it said installation aborted. keep trying and learning. then i found it was due to old recovery (download 3.0.28 at FP). so i search the latest ver (4.0.0.5) after replace the recovery, then i can install oxygen rom. haha.. finally my 3 hours (super slow =.=) research worth.

my phone no problem with viber so far, been frequently using viber for around 1 month...

updated. after 30 mins using Oxygen 110811 i can tell that :-

- my x5 was hell fast!! i set it cpu to 1.2ghz [izzit safe guys? and does it drain battery?]
- the graphic was insanely improve!

* i test with the game gun bros. before this using stock rom, it playable but quite laggy. but after using oxygen, it was fast!! and somehow the graphic was improve too!

Note: to any newbie like me. do root your phone and flash it with oxygen. no regret!

this was the pros so far. will tell you if got anything problem. so far, my x5 live. happy with it!

install fruit ninja and afferent
you will be enjoying with smooth game with no advertisement XD

Only problem with oxygen is it can't tether wifi with your laptop or other phone..

I don't need it so doesn't matter for me

the call quality ok la. maybe the upcoming GB will improve it and make it great. nope. dont lag at all when playing high end game. if OC much better. battery life great. can last long 24hours for normal usage.

btw, oxygen rom got 1 bug. it sometime will reboot and not responding when connecting to usb. damn!! i always use USB!!!!

Earlier I was complaining about slow satellite fix with Papago. I have tried a fix and it worked for me. The locking time decreased from 10+ minutes to <2 minutes after I apply the fix and reboot the phone. The trick need ROOTED PHONE. Otherwise, the application screen will go blank!

Here is what I did
1) Download fasterfix https://market.android.com/details?id=com.Double.FasterFix
2) Install and run Fasterfix.
3) Select 'custom' and key in my.pool.ntp.org as the server name. Press GO to apply the change.
4) Reboot the phone and run Papago

Share if there is any improvement. If satisfied, FasterFix can be uninstalled. If travel to overseas, need to re-install and select the new server again.

Oh, I missed one step: before I run Papago, go to manage application the clear data. Not sure whether it helps or not but I did that just for the sake for a 'clean start'

becos on that time, u r not yet root ur phone. thats y u cannot use titanium backup. since u already rooted ur phone, titanium can be use

Oh, I saw your post saying the call volume is low and the mic doesn't record your voice very well, there is a fix for it already? Let's say a few hour of games, wifi, gps and some call and smses could the battery last for a day?

no. coz at that time i already use oxygen. so my phone must be root ady rite? dont know what happen.

btw, gonna reflash back the latest oxy rom. =.=
