Plea to those who enjoys good quality TV show, please watch Killing Eve. It's mid-point in the 8 episodes season. Guaranteed you will meet one of the most fascinating femme fatale I can remember in a long time. Villanelle is just great acting and her character very refreshing.
So far it is pretty intense. Fearing for June the whole way through episode 3

knowing the way the escape will eventually turn out.
Both Handmaid's Tale and Westworld brought the dying TV interest in me back to life in the last fortnight. Good news: both shows are renewed for Season 3 and I am all ready for the Shogun World.
Good to hear Offred able to keep up. Most likely will binge this nearing the series finale to catch up. AMC's The Terror was pretty depressing in a spectacular way, so need to space out a little before jumping back into another misery porn show.
Right now Killing Eve and Westworld kept me busy. Yeah the backlog of The Americans that I always wanted to see through but new and shiny TV shows keep coming up...lol...
Finally got around S2 of The Handmaid's Tale. Not only did the show didn't dipped in quality but actually improve upon the first season. The best thing about the show is no matter how terrible the situation gonna be...always a slimmer of hope around the corner. The journey goes without saying will be extremely unsettling to navigate.
Jack Ryan update pretty much your standard hunt for terrorist but failed at grounding the storytelling aspects. Dunno maybe the TV network aesthetic or predictability of the plotline throw me off. Still rehashing "24" era of story beats while Homeland and The Americans already showed it can be done differently and delved in complex characterisations. Not my cup of coffee....
Calling adrenaline junkies...please give Money Heist a shot. A criminal genius orchestrating complicated robbery schemes that doesn't insult your intelligence. Going straight for the action that waste no time with turns and twists unfolding at breakneck speed. This is a smarter version of the old Prison Break formula in the context of pulling heist instead escaping prison. Thoroughly enjoyed this.
Looks like they managed to capture few of the iconic characters from the book. Right now I'm in the middle of volume 3. More importantly caught a glimpse of Henry Rollins in the trailer. That's a good indication this might be good.

Highly doubt they'll able to retain the original tone of the comic books. Like Preacher it's ultra violent and highly politically incorrect. At least 2 episodes watch for me..
There's a little gimmick how this series unravel. It's a bank hostage drama. On the odd number episodes is the perspective of the police force solving the hostage situation. Whereas the even episodes focus on the hostage takers perspective. The clever part of it all is you can never trust what you just watched. What was shown on episode 1 can easily be debunked on the following episode as you only saw half of the puzzle. Yupp it's those super twisty and subverting your expectations type of show. You gotta binge 2 episodes at a go to get a more accurate information to what was shown to you. It's unusual and a refreshing format. Liking it so far after 4 episodes of 12. While waiting for Money Heist S3 to return this is a good place holder.
Seems really interesting. Hmmmm. Is it on Netflix?
Sadly no, Jack Sparrow is the only way to watch it. I won't be surprised if US decide to remake this cause it is that good. Money Heist is more colourful and action packed while this one is more grounded. The ending twist is pretty good and a really good antagonist pulling the strings behind the crime.
Kingdom - Palace power grabbing drama first, zombie outbreak second.
This is a much better watch than the senseless Rampant movie that came out last year. The first two episodes pretty much setting up who is who and what is what. Unsure how integral is the palace politicking will be on the later episodes. Hope it doesn't goes back to the usual action movie route. So far 2 episodes in is watchable.
Marriage of 2 creative titans. It supposes to be an anthology with different collaborators curated by David Fincher and Tim Miller. Do wonder did they directed any parts of it.
The Umbrella Academy vs Doom Patrol Umbrella Academy sucks ball. They are stretching the season like all those boring MCU shows. A six or eight episodes will definitely expedite the urgency of the mystery. The biggest problem is the casting a bust and TV budget simply does not allow it to realize its full potential to the weird tones of source material.
Doom Patrol 1st episode fares a lot better than the entire season of Academy. Then again still early to tell. Now it's a matter of how much they willing to explore the deeply weird lineage of the superheroes. Hope they cherry pick some of those great Grant Morrison story arcs.
Was not keeping track the new season came back. The highly political incorrect skank is back at it. The dark humor and unpredictability where it will go never cease to amaze me.
Love, Death + Robots is super awesome. It's like watching the best Heavy Metal stories came alive. Each episode has its own distinct look and feel. Do not watch it in presence of children cause they can get super graphic.
What we do in the Shadows - Exactly what you expected.
I'll be watching this on a weekly basis rather than binging it later. The thing with silly comedy is the gag can goes stale quickly if they do not have fresh scenarios to cycle around with. Would rather take it slow to avoid the repetition redundancy in this type of comedy show.
They are stretching the plot line like many half past six tv series. Drama for the sake of convenient plot progression. The worst of all is the annoying teenager stereotype that does nothing but to distract. The expanded materials did not enhance the precedent of the original film. Saiorse Ronan still the better Hanna. Also missing badly is the pulsating score by The Chemical Brothers.
