The Crown is pretty bingeworthy for a look behind the scene of UK royalty. Claire Foy is worth all the attention being showered on her and John Lithgow is A-Game in his portrayal of Winston Churchill. The addiction sets in after episode 3 where you just keep on watching the next episode.

I tried watching the first episode, can't find any excitement in it 30min into it. is it better later on?
It became fun when Pete juggling multiple tasks like maintaining his cover, the family not as squeaky clean as they are while Cranston hot on his tail. Then it's alright also if you are not digging the show. I'm perfectly fine with that as well.
cool. I'll give it another try. in the mean time, watching the crown now. interesting show indeed. have you watch The OA? gonna watch it after finishing the crown.
Another of those struggling comedian grinding their luck for an opportunity. It's not sitcom ha-ha but a more grounded slice of life kinda situational comedy. Pete Holmes is really that likable and deserve to gain more recognition. Check out his Batman sketch. They are awesome.

The second season of Bedrag is out with official sub. It's a continuation of the first season and not a fresh premise. Pretty neat they expanded the small player to make it a larger narrative stake. Especially the promotion of the new fixer to take over the ominous Sweden fixer. The story and drama hitting the right spot for me. Small plot details from season one resurface to wreck havoc on the main story.

Rick and Morty sneak peek of third season episode one is out. Among all the adult oriented cartoons, they are the best one yet. BoJack Horseman came close.
Finally caught up with the latest Homeland season, as usual you go through few episodes of Carrie's meltdown or melodramatic set-up. Once the set-up is done, it's back to becoming why you love the show in the first place. Dug the use of real world events being mirrored in the show like internet trolling campaign and an unpopular president elect.
I really love Big Little Lies. Binge it in 2 days. Amazing cast and masterful murder mystery. The beginning a little on the nose with Desperate Housewife riff but once you start to see their skeletons in the closet....you are hooked.
Very late in the game of watching this. Flesh and Bone another awesome show that did not get enough exposure. Created by Breaking Bad alum, Sorderberg EP it and they have David Michod to set the tone with episode one. It's Black Swan on the eleven with all the dark drama and plenty of boobies just so you know it's a Starz thing.
I didn't watched The Good Wife...their spin off The Good Fight is really good. It's smartly written with hot button issues pertaining the climate of US right now. So expect weaving snarky jabs at Trump administration, fake news, police brutality, etc...in a believable legal drama fashion. Look out for Cush Jumbo cause she could be next big thing with her sassy presence.
Now I get it why Veep has been the darling of Emmy. The narcissistic personality disorder displayed by Julia Louis Dreyfus is beyond words and probably tea bagging Donald Trump with her imaginary testicle in a popularity contest who is more brash and stupid. The quality and smarts about the jokes just hitting right spot for me and really too gross not to be fascinated by it. Just amazing writing all out.
American Gods - Give it some time to sink in...and Ian McF-king Shane in it.
An adaptation of the famous book of Neil Gaiman, much like DC's Sandman that rework mythology from a different perspective into a modern timeline with some philosophical teachings in it. You just can't look away at the high concept and a strangely fascinating world that the gods presided in. Bare minimum stick until the setup of the old gods battling the new gods. So be patient a bit with the confusing introduction of characters. The lush visual aesthetic and out of the box story is something to look forward to. Do expect the high quality production value as Hannibal cause Bryan Fuller and David Slade commands this ship. So expect plenty of trippy nightmarish scenes filmed as gorgeous as possible. Side note, it's a Starz brand so plenty of sex and violence. That opening scene has some serious artistic Mortal Kombat violence.
The Handmaid's Tale - A pretty depressing show that can supersede the original modern classic book.
If you are into modern classic literature like 1984, Brave New World or films like V for Vendetta (without the action), Children of Men....This is a must watch. Be ready to reach a rage inducing moment during those hard to watch scene and worst of all, those scenarios totally plausible when the world still clinging onto demagogue leaders. The narrative method also very effective in the usage of flashbacks to fill you in the what, why and when this world has gone to the toilet. It's like a broken person recounting her unending traumas. Elisabeth Moss again delivered amazing performances. Do not binge this show cause the subject matter really dark and can easily put you in a foul mood.
Urge those with an open mind to give it a shot at American Gods. It may be confusing and pretentious on the surface...the depth of it just mind boggling. Episode 2 indeed has the best epic monologue I've seen in a long time. It's on par with Tarantino. You don't question reality when Gillian Anderson appears as Lucille Ball on the tv screen lecturing us what the present day has come to in the concept of worshipping. To those who are lost with what the hell is going on: Google the origin of Wednesday as in the day. Where did it came from. You will know who is Ian McShane suppose to be. Episode 1 opening is all about him. He is really famous and familiar but his characterization is not what you usually associated him with. The name of Shadow's cell buddy is Low Key Lyesmith. if you speak the first two syllable quickly...you will get the idea who he is. Hint a famous trickster. Peter Stormare is not Thor...but the villain in Disney's Fantasia. A lesser known god that originate from Slavic (Eastern Europe) culture. His deal is that he is the evil one (Chernabog) while his brother is the good one (Belobog). Down the road you will meet an expanding scope of famous and lesser known gods to wage war against the newer ones. Now hope the next episode opening can be as good as the first two.
Really??? If you think I spoil the story by that few public facts then you have no idea what's coming. Those are not even the main thing to get spoiled with. Knowing Mr.Wednesday identity only gives you more context on what the story about and does not do one thing to spoil the bigger picture. Peter Stormare officially listed as Czernobog aka Chernabog,Chernobog,Chornoboh. You do realized the book is 16 years old...right!!! Jeez.....
There are way too many good shows to chase right now. 1. American Gods - Enough said. 2. The Handmaid's Tale - Could easily become one of the best show this year. Elisabeth Moss deserves to win any awards in contention. 3. Sense8 - Love it or hate it with the silliness, but when it hit its stride you cannot look away. 4. Master of None - Significant upgrade from season 1. It's a happier and likable version of Louis CK's Louie. 5. Veep - The crazy shenanigans almost a reflection of the trump administration. 6. Silicon Valley - The unpredictable twisty outcome always a highlight of the show. 7. Better Call Saul - It's still well made, but lose out a lot of steam as other shinier shows came about.
The handmaid's tale delivered a soul crushing finale. That swearing scene alone will make your stomach tied knots.Do wonder how will they do season 2 as 80% of the book already in the show???Elisabeth Moss gonna be a big contender comes the award season.
