I tried once riding SS for just 30km... Kana cramp and leg pain for 3 days! LOL... These riders are god man.

You have cooked your brakes being a heavy rider and draggin the brakes on the way down.

You can upped the rotor diameter (for more heat dissipation) and change the pads to metallic ones (if it's not).

There's nothing much you can do to stop the problem, unless you change your riding style or something.

Some brakes are better in 'cooking' resistance than others.

Brake Problem (update)

In the end I decided to take up LYN way....which is to change my brakes ....ended up with Quad brakes...main reason was its cheap ..and the back disc is 180....reviews also not bad...says good value...see la how it performs ...was a toss between Shimano Deore and Avid Elixir 3...in the end choose Quad Axis

Err... my description of big brakes is something better than XC use wan lo... Like for FR/DH kinda thing.

So how you like it?
