I just bought one of these from the states and while its a pretty good tablet, it has some flaws. By the way you can get the tab 10.1 16GB wifi for RM1500 + RM150 shipping from the states directly via borderlinx. Don't know why anyone would pay RM2k through ebay.. Also you don't need a 3g version (e.g. tab 8.9) if you have a smartphone with data plan already - just tether.

It is real, and it does exist on my tab. and yes, actually sticking it in the fridge or in front of a strong aircond does fix it for a while..

Another is that the tab tends to just turn itself off (when there's still battery), and won't turn itself back on again unless you hold and press the on/off button much longer than usual, leading to heart and panic attacks.

Lastly, it is sluggish. More sluggish than the single core ipad 1 or 2. or my 3gs for that matter. Yes it can load webpages much better than iOS but it is also much more sluggish.

Other than that, its a pretty good tablet. Now I am trying to find where can I buy that USB adapter in Msia or find a seller that ships it to Msia..

There's my very sexy slim tab 10.1. and there's that very big manufacturing screen defect. Consider waiting for the 2nd batch after they fixed this issue - and if you google it, it seems like a widespread problem. Its called "Newton" rings.

I bought it from the states. It is not like that out of the box - it happens as you use it. Apparently caused by heat, it will appear usually 1-2 weeks after usage if your unit is indeed defective. mine appeared one week later after fresh out of the box.

It looks like someone leaked motor oil under the screen. its size went from a fingernail to the picture.

Got, warranty must bring back to the US =.= I hoped there wouldn't be an issue but it became one.

I don't have an issue with the GPS though, if anything it works very well.

As for the solutions I've actually tried them all. I'm trying something right now and if it works I'll post it up. I actually discourage people from trying the fridge thing as in our humid weather, it'll probably lead to condensation and damage internally unless you have one of those humidity control storage meant for cameras.

I can still download files and torrents directly into my tab, watch any file format including mkv 1080p, install apps without itunes/app store, copy n paste music pictures and videos, open websites that will load properly.

It's hard to tell. when i stuck in in the freezer it went back to normal too and then came back after it warm back up. I kept it in a humidity-free cupboard to prevent condensation.

I used one of the sucking pads that is used to hold gps/phone on the car windscreen n gave it a little pull. The issue is that the screen is touching the LCD panel - hence pulling the screen fixes it.. although at first it seem to come back after a few minutes. I simply pulled a bit harder shook it abit n left it hanging for a while =.="

I know it sounds weird as hell but it seems to fix it.. for now...
