there were no 10.1V in the US when i was there.
most of the 10.1V were sold by the service provider in Europe.
if at all they sell 10.1V here, high chance it will be brought in directly by service providers like Maxis or Digi.
much like how maxis controlled the iphone long time back.

CPU wise and all same, but the 10.1V has a better camera, the 10.1's camera (the one i have) is just good for a bar code reader for me. the picture quality for me, it is very plain..or very bad if you compare it with my galaxy S2 phone....the 3MP pics are just like from an old nokia...if 3 years ago, you would say they are great...although there's flash...

but the 10.1 is a lot slimmer and lighter than the 10.1V.

also 10.1V does not seem to have stereo speakers based on a forum post - can anyone confirm this?

if this is true it kinda sucks, because one of the major things you would want to do on it would be to watch movies or youtube serials.

owh ic...then might as well wait for that one to come out...any1 know when?

Check out www.celcom.com.my. They have reviewed the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 but without pricing ...... so i guess its launching this week?

My opinion on these since I have used all these the 7" Tab ( still using ) and ipad - 9+ months / ipad2 - 2 weeks only

User interface - nothing so far can beat the ipad. I must say is darn slick and smooth. The new Tab 10.1 can now challenge t, shall I say neck to neck. Other 10" Android tablets ( I have use Iconia, tested xoom and transformer ) looses out. However I always say the ipad's slick UI is only a delusion - it decieves especially new users giving it a false impression it is great and fast. In truth even the new ipad2 fails badly against even my SGS II smartphone on browsing, youtubes, email content downloads. The new Tab 10.1 beats and thumps badly the ipad 2 on these features
Lag in 10.1 - what lag ??? Yes the 7" Tab has more obvious lag vs the 10.1. The 10.1 is a Porsche while the 7" tab is just a honda accord

I will only recommend the ipad to those who like to play games, like to play with apps, watch movies ( NOT Youtube videos). If you are looking at a tablet with some work related/business/file management etc - the Android tablet, any one is the better choice

The Tab 10.1 does not look as classy as ipad2 but it looks more business class n professional. Its build quality is good and solid. Comparatively, the ipad2 looks more flimsy. Looks are subjective - you gotta see and feel yourselves ; some like it rough and tough, some like them slim and sexy

SG Tab 7.7' is for me!    luckily i havn't bought the 10.1.. SUPER AMOLED DISPLAY!!      now gonna stick with transformer first (well it do serves me well enough for the time being )

but worried about the price... will not make a sense if it will be more expensive than 10.1.. 

hello guys. i've been doing some research mostly reading through this thread, specs and prices for :

samsung galaxy tab 10.1 wifi+3g
samsung galaxy tab 7' wifi+3g (the old one).

i don't really do rooting although i've been using wildfire for more than a year already.

i want to use this tablet for :

1. surf the net just like a normal laptop, skype,ym, etc3.
2. a little bit of gaming (not a priority)
3. reading PDF files
4. i want to put my 2nd number (prepaid) so that i can use it for texting only.
5. my main internet connection will be wifi although i want to purchase 3g version. i will use hot spot via my wildfire or any wifi connection available at that particular time.

my main number will be used on my wildfire (DG smartplan).

is anyone here was previously using the old tab and now using this 10.1 model?
do you recommend me to pay a little more and buy this version or go for the old one which is a little cheaper?
ps : i know i've been asking a lot lately. but, a 2k investment is a bit steep for me and i need to make sure i know everything or done a proper research so that i won't regret using it for the next year or two .
