According to my friend from jakarta the initial price quoted for SGT 16gb 3g there was RP 6mil (RM 21xx). During the launch they slashed the pricing to RP 4mil (RM 14xx). even more the first 200 units were given out with a RP 200 discount (RM 70 ?). Eventually with such good market scheme, They sold out completely within 7 hrs since the launch. Now that's smart and what is called meeting demands

So we are hungry celcom!...you'd better come up with something on par or maybe better

There's my very sexy slim tab 10.1. and there's that very big manufacturing screen defect. Consider waiting for the 2nd batch after they fixed this issue - and if you google it, it seems like a widespread problem. Its called "Newton" rings.

So this is another hardware glitch in the SGT first batch ? have u any probs with the GPS stalling within a certain range as claimed by many who owned the first batch SGT. Yuu should get it changed dude

The defect on video

While browsing for solution for this defect, I came across some rather amusing cures doh.gif

QUOTE
A couple of solutions have been discovered, but it’s not clear at this stage whether they permanently fix the issue.

Dry the insides of the tablet by blow drying through the dock port.
Put the tablet in the fridge (for up to half an hour)
Give it time (some people notice the problem fades away over time)

It's hard to tell. when i stuck in in the freezer it went back to normal too and then came back after it warm back up. I kept it in a humidity-free cupboard to prevent condensation.

I used one of the sucking pads that is used to hold gps/phone on the car windscreen n gave it a little pull. The issue is that the screen is touching the LCD panel - hence pulling the screen fixes it.. although at first it seem to come back after a few minutes. I simply pulled a bit harder shook it abit n left it hanging for a while =.="

I know it sounds weird as hell but it seems to fix it.. for now...
Wow that's a hefty measure rclxub.gif Hope it stays good henceforth

Celcom launched LG device instead of GT10.1 doh.gif
*
What the hell is happening ? shakehead.gif they are teasing too much

The LG Optimus pad retails at RM 2,119 ? just because of its 3D features and u need a 3d glasses for that. And with 1,500 mAh battery power with all that features it will drain the device fast

Courtesy : http://www.soyacincau.com/2011/07/30/the-l...omes-to-celcom/

QUOTE
The LG Optimus Pad retails for RM2,199 outright. Celcom is offering it for as low as RM1,668 with a data plan contract. They are two plans two choose from for the tablet:

Celcom Broadband Basic offers 4GB of data a month for RM68/month
Celcom Broadband Advance with 6GB of data a month for RM98/month
Celcom is currently offering a 12-month RM10 monthly rebate for both plans as well. Based on the rebate, we assume the contract term is for 12 months. We can’t find any additional information about the service plans for Optimus Pad on Celcom’s website at time of writing (Great job running the site Celcom. Awesome stuff!).

This gives a hint about the marketing plans for SGT perhaps...not very impressive tho sweat.gif

Any owner of GT10.1 can justify this?

the colour saturation is too washed out for our liking.?

comment from soyacincau: http://www.soyacincau.com/2011/07/31/sampl...alaxy-tab-10-1/

is it only from camera taking? or even normal browsing the color also washed out? check the doughnuts .. i remember the colour should be green.. right?

I dont think soya_cincau dealt with the camera settings as much when the shots were taken. More reliable sources like Engadget have substantial output while testing out the camera and video quality. The green's are so vivid in these shots

Haha good one but before that LG Optimus pad first. then they will consider moving to S2 white. Maybe if they remember sometime SGT doh.gif

BTW, the new revamped TouchWiz UI is gorgeous. Saw a few videos over utube, and bowled over the vivid display and genius tweaks. The urge to own the SGT is kickin in harder. drool.gif

and again.. it makes no sense to release the wifi later.. come on..

Well it does make sense to SME & Celcom they wanna optimize the 3g version first. I could only laugh at their low consideration to market the 32gb version, let alone 64 ? Added Space is a necessity for most of us nowadays. They have not done their market study well If they're going to keep playing hide and seek games about the release, then sorry for them.

As for the accessories the combo price for the adapter's is pricey. It will see a progressive decrease in price later looking forward in LYN
