Hey guys I was thinking of getting a 70-200mm lens and was interested in the Sigma so i tested it out in a shop.. what do you guys thing about the image quality and sharpness?

70mm, f2.8, 1/30secs, ISO250
It seems sharp even without VR, What do you guys think? Or should I just save up and get the Nikon version with VR II.

I totally forgotten to take photos at f8-11 at the lens sharpest point.. Im still new at this... What else do I need to look for?

may explain this more? my experience with tele, f/8-f/13 is normal to shoot people in group..

i dont think its a 70200 by looking ur gf and sister picture. not sharp enuff for thats monster lens

i bought 116 and shoot at F16 for landscape and F4 for all rounder shoot. so it doesnt serve the purpose of F2.8?

i bought tammy and normally F4 for all time for indoor. doesnt served the purpose?

On the second part is point where you meant Sony is more user friendly than Nikon right? Or rather Nikon do not have that? Actually Nikon have similar to what you have shown in video no.2, but in a wider variety. But that one can only be accessed in the menu. For Sony, can be accessed from top LCD only?

I don't think they are really into mirrorless segments as what they announced previously.
Olympics, Canon and Nikon definitely will release their body by then. 2008 was the turning point for Nikon when they released their first FF, D3 and also the ISO performance champ at that time.

About Sony... don't know about this. So far Sony FF are just slow for fast paced actions unlike the D3s or the 1Dmk4. Unless they launch a pro level body, then this will put pressure to both Nikon and Canon . Not to mention better for us consumers keke since all will be pushing hard for their new line ups.

because i prefer Nikon? and is cheaper? but 550D pulling my leg.

The cheapest prime will beat the crap out of kit lens... they are simple and easier to build. Not as complicated as zoom lens, only the pro grade zoom lens comes close to a prime's IQ performance.

2.6x 300mm, woots telephoto lens! Can shoot moon with this hahaha.

Well, DSLR use in LiveView mode is IMHO, worst than Point and Shoot, it's slow and it blacks out. Plus, the handling when using LiveView, you'll find that even using handphone is better to handle since it's light, small, compact, easy to reach, etc. Unless really there's need for it, I try to prevent using LiveView; Those with swivel LCD might give more reason to use, but still the performance is still the same.
