sigma has a wider angle = 77mm
nikon = 52mm doesn't that give the sigma a wider angle ? |

QUOTE(vearn27 @ Sep 19 2011, 10:44 PM) By any chance, did you tried to shoot them from the same spot using both lenses and then compare the "angle" ? no never tried sigma before. I'm just thinking logically.Note: Best if the body sets on a tripod to ensure no position change during the test. if you guys know I'm wrong just say it. |

QUOTE(celciuz @ Sep 19 2011, 10:57 PM) Both my 85mm and 70200 have 77mm thread, but it isn't as wide as my 1635 which has also 77mm thread ;-). yeah the 14-24 has a round end. cool, thanks for the info. can't believe I've been mistaken for so long.Well indirectly speaking, usually ultra wide angle lens have bigger filter thread, and with some lens such as 14-24 does not have filter thread at all. |
