It turns out what i have been suspecting all this time is true, there is something wrong with my 80200 two touch. Ask the nikon guy at klcc to take a look at it at he say there seems to be some loose element inside, need to be tighten or something. Repair cost ranges from 150-200+

QUOTE(BenSow @ Aug 30 2011, 08:36 PM) just back from taiping, not a very good experience photographing in the zoo with a 18-55 >< are there any places in malaysia that offer rental for lenses? o.o Tamron 70-300mm VC, cheap and sharp from what i heardbtw what zoom lens are nice? i tried sigma and nikon 18-200mm and sigma 18-200 OS both are nice and sharp... are there any more nice ones out there? or even cheaper ones? my dad was like wtf when he found out a zoom lens is gonna cost more than my camera. lol Added on August 30, 2011, 11:05 pm QUOTE(celciuz @ Aug 30 2011, 10:02 PM) Once you taste the IQ of a prime lens, you will never go back to kit lens. Heck probably only the pro grade zoom lens will satisfy you But...but...prime lens is expensive! /points to 24mm F1.4 This post has been edited by gnome: Aug 30 2011, 11:05 PM |

QUOTE(lwliam @ Sep 5 2011, 12:16 AM) Not if when you are at the photographer's pit... Haha the stage light was quite bright Added on September 5, 2011, 12:17 am Nice shot, but for this case study, the subject was lighted with 10 flash guns aka a flood light... so, yeah, not really a good example and by the way, this is the exif for that pic.. Camera Nikon D90 Exposure 0.006 sec (1/160) <--- sure la no shakey issues... Aperture f/4.0 Focal Length 135 mm ISO Speed 1600 Exposure Bias 0 EV Flash No Flash I'm not going to say that even without VR/IS you can't get sharp images at longer focal lengths. I'm just saying that it will definitely be a whole lot harder, when on other other hand, if you DO have VR/IS, you'd be glad you have it. |

QUOTE(jchue73 @ Sep 5 2011, 02:18 AM) KFs are difficult as they are small, easily spooked and hard to find especially perched on a clean branch. Looks like it was quite near. KFs are usually shot at 500mm to 800mm if you want to fill the full frame. ahhhh icic...that day i wish i have a 1.4x TC though, could use the extra reach owh and awesome concert photos there! |

QUOTE(onscreen @ Sep 5 2011, 02:56 AM) 80-200mm AF-S, the best piece of glass you can get for sub RM5k. Not easy to hunt for a good copy but worth the effort. Not as heavy as 70-200mm but just as fast as it when focusing. Shouldnt have sold my whole nikon gears years back Saw one for sale at YL Camera not long ago, RM3.9k which is not bad i think |
