they haven't even replaced the d300s, d700 and d3s
and people here are expecting a replacement of the d7000?

I want a screen protector for my new d7000, google all turn out the GGCS product. Went to a photo shop saw a clear film selling like rm100 !

Have anyone try using car tint film, like 3m , v-kool or the unbreakable tint on lcd screen since ours is not a touch screen. tot of getting it from the shop(leftover) and DIY cutting it to shape.

Guys, Is it Fx's DOF greater than Dx's DOF if using same lens(Fx)?

It's the other way around. DX bodies have greater DoF than FX.

So morale of the story is learn to use the gel packs given by Nikon in the SB800 & SB900s..... does the SB700 have the color correction gels included?? I was testing the SB900 color correction gels at an event recently and found that even with the gels and settings, a lil tweak is still needed to get the WB to look 'right'

Need more practice with this WB thingy. I'm still far from achieving even the near good result of WB settings. I totally have not much understanding in tuning my WB except placing the gel on my flash.

The situation I was in... it started shooting indoor from evening with a lot of windows allowing lights from outside. Then when it reaches night, yellowish and white lights all around the places and some dim area. Ceiling and wall, some area with and some area without to bounce the flash. Really a tough situation to handle with my skill level at the moment

sigma and tamron does their own R&D. they have their own optical formulas as well, but since R&D fees are limited to them, their formulas are not as refined, but still get jobs done.

being 3rd party lenses, they cant put their pricing higher than original makers as then there will be no sales for them.

furthermore, nikon's own nano coating technology is very very expensive, as the same goes with Zeiss'.

Think I'll still prefer 7000D. As for lens, i wanted a all-rounder and more into zoom as I prefer not to keep changing my lens.
I've been looking at either

18-105mm VR so much cheaper...
or
18-200mm VRII but this is so exp... Does the price worth the lens?

Meantime if I've got spare cash I might get a 50mm f/2.8 for indoor low light shots
