It was a 50-50 performance to me. The team was still too narrow, had no width. The build up could do a lot more faster. Lampard was slow, and what a rubbish penalty, he didn't take it properly.
Even though Sturridge scored two, he still has a lot more to do, but I have no doubt on his capabilities being a big star in future.
Torres looked kinda sharp isn't it? smile.gif Could do better though.
One thing i hate the most is, Kalou is shit. Hope avb will give him some words.
I was gutted to see Mikel injured, he was amazingly good. He's like our Xavi! Love to see him spraying some passes all over the field.

Cool, Lukaku is finally a blue smile.gif Honestly, it was a great 15m deal to release Zhirkov. I don't think other team will offer that amount for zhirkov.

Well, more to come! Hope we can grab some wingers.

I didn't watch the match, but how bad was the penalty? Must be unlucky for Frank.

I guess now Malouda is our only left winger I guess, unless Sturridge rotate there.

good match by blues....but at the back still need some improvement!...u cant defend liked this in BPl...otherwise u will get bang bang from opponents....especially quick players...lampard was poor in penalty...sturrudge...what i can say bout him...continued his form from bolton loan days....he is the man to watch rather than torress...he played well...but still the passion is not there for el nino....cursed has not end yet perhaps..? as i expected lukaku will be blue blood....imagine he partner with sturridge...it will be awesome young striking guns!

goodbye zhirkov for ur service...to be honest u dont deserved to leave...! vmad.gif another poor management by CFC....i'm surprised AVB did not put effort to convinced yuri to stay....

No no, that was harsh comment on AVB and the board.
We have to offload some players to make space for Lukaku. plus 15, deal for zhirkov isn't too bad. It's a good business.
AVB will bring in some wingers, come on.

I Malouda fan so I don't think Zhirkov that much better.

It's easy to think someone is really good when he doesn't play long enough and his replacement is not on form.
Last season when Lampard was injured, we were saying that we always needed Lampard, and that if he was fit we would start winning teams, but he made not so much difference when he came back also.

Benchwarmers naturally get sympathy, but I don't think Zhirkov> Malouda. I would say Malouda is much more intelligent compared to Zhirkov.
Besides, we don't want complaining about no playtime players don't we?

no worries mate. i just express my feeling due to my favorite player departure. only Lampard and Zhirkov name were ever printed on my Chelsea jersey. i admire him long before he join chelsea. especially after what he done in euro 2008. it's unfortunate for him to end his short spells in Stamford Bridge without showing what he fully capable of. injury after injury.

i wish him the best for the future.

hello fellow blues mates....yuri HAS NOT GIVEN a proper chance to prove is worth...most of the times less than 45 mins displayed...not even 1 full match if i am not mistaken....i didint condemn AVB..what i want is atleast appreciate player like yuri...he got the speed, agility....anyway no point arguing now..past is past..we can offload...paolo, anelka, malouda, kalou.....or even drogba....anyway lets see hoe cfc performs this season....then we can judge.....i wont surprised yuri will be a instant superstar at anzhi

Look at the signing pattern, Chelsea now surely begin to investing rather than spending, aren't they?

1. Lucas Piazon 17
2. Thibaut Courtois 19
3. Oriol Romeu 16
4. Romelu Lukaku 18

but, i guess one or two big name in will not bring any harm too.

Good luck to Zhirkov. So Anzhi will be next big thing in Russia? Balasz Dusdzask went there also.

When is Lukaku's medical? See his body I don't think he'll fail medical.

And I don't think we want too many Big names. Let Sturridge/Josh/Bertrand and few more youngsters establish themselves. Benayoun should be a 3/4 years solution until Josh turns older.

Translation:

"Give me a ball, and I will be playing here for 5 hours. Putain, what a stadium..."
"The day I'm playing here in this stadium, that will be the single time in my life that you would see me cry. I'm going to succeed."
"Dreaming? I'm not dreaming, I'm going to play here someday, I'm sure."

CHELSEA need a player who loves the club with all his heart like this kid! WELCOME LUKAKU!!

3/4 years ? I dont think so. He is not any younger you know, he is 31 this year and 4 years later he is 35.
