Overclocking is bad for the components and will void your warranty...Unless you have spare cash to spend on another motherboard, another set of rams, a new processor just in case you fry ur current one, i suggest you dont overclock your PC....
Not only overclocking is dangerous, it also might cause other components such as hardisk or graphic card to be damaged.. Overclocking is like motoracing..U need tools and knowledge to run a race car..A race car is dangerous on the road but not on the track, just as road cars arent supposed to be driven like a racecar.. components on a race car is far more expensive compared to a road car and the same can be said for overclocking.. Do you have high quality hardware such as a good power supply, monitoring tools or even cooling? |

QUOTE(intel2010 @ Sep 1 2011, 12:23 AM) i dont want to da a crazy oc,, just a simple oc.. like people said.. slow2 learning to oc.. i dont know my system is good or not. can you verify my siggy.. is my hardware is good enough.. Ur board: 870-G45 is not the most recommended board OC...it lacks most OC boards hardware, it even does have sinks for the VRM area...and for starters, thats not a good thing...The only thing u can do, is raise the multiplier on the x2 550 BE...ada upto 0.2v to help stabilize...if u already reach 1.45v for the CPU, then better play safe since you will need better cooling to cool the processor.. After installing I quickly fired up and started to increase the memory speed to see where is the wall regarding my processor capabilities and found out that when I reach <1900mhz upon reboot it will be detected as 8GB, but as soon as >1900, only 1 dimm (4GB) is detected....change back so that the ram runs <1900, voila....dual channel 8GB...

more than 1800Mhz ram speed (to be exact 1840) , i need to use nearly 1.5v CPU-NB to allow stability....
I probably will run at lesser ram speed so that I can push the core speed and CPU-NB speed... Deneb's memory controller doesnt really play high Mhz...1800 is probably the limit.... This post has been edited by antonio: Jan 25 2012, 03:15 AM |

QUOTE(kuntawakaw @ Jan 25 2012, 02:30 AM) not sure about your ram, but with regor/propus 1900Mhz is possible with acceptable vimc also thanks...but currently doing some testing regarding my 8GB (4GB x 2) kit...cheap and available locally....lets just imagine 1600 CL7 for now... go grab a sempron!!! btw nice to see you back. My previous microns is now sleeping....pity them 2GBs.... |

QUOTE not so sure bout deneb sir but ram oc usin regor/rana had been impressive on asus 8xx boards. i don't remember needin > 1.3v for 1900MHz. perhaps d imc of ya chip has been degraded over times or it just not that into ram oc. Yap...i've been browsing my old posts (deneb) era and found that in order to run 1600 i need to bump up the cpu-nb to achieve stability...the rams i have now is capable of 1866 cl9 1t on intel but arent able to get past 1840 cl9 2t on my new board n old deneb...propus and rana or even might be better at running higher speeds iirc compared to deneb, which prefers the tightest timing possible.... i will continue to look for a sweetspot and will prime the hell out of it just for the lulz... |

QUOTE(cloudwan @ Jan 26 2012, 02:19 PM) Seriously mate get a better cooling solution if u want to push up to 4.1ghz.. Huh?? My 1075T on Noctua D14 also when oc to 3.9ghz is registering temp up to 64c when prime, can't imagine u oc'ing 4.1ghz with stock cooler BTW: Nice seeing this thread alive again after bro antonio came back.. hahaha 64c on D14?? And I tot 63c on my TRUE during 3400 1.375v was adequate...wanted to change D14 but if also 4.0 64c, then might as well get H100 |
