Just a quick question for my friend.  She just got a job in SG.  Have not gotten her EP but approved already.  However, she plans to move her stuffs over with her car this weekend.  Parked in SG for one week.  Next weekend drive home.  Can it be done?
*
yes, drive in and park and put coupons parking. then, drive back after 1 week.

just make sure, you dont pass thru the Gantry or ERP.

last time when i first came to singapore, i also drive in and bring all my belongings. Park the car at company car park as free. Then, at night park at hdb car park with coupon. Then, after weekend arrived, i drove back and tumpang friends car to come down. Unless law has changed now.

For the sake of avoiding confusion, this 'VEP' Aloong is referring to is actually an Autopass Card.
Official rules are that if you hold any workpass, you need to keep the car outside of singapore 8 hours every day. However unofficially they don't enforce.
*
wow....that means i was lucky last time that they didnt enforce it. But, the officer who issued me the autopass also neber mentioned. Just that i was told i got some free days and after that, they will impose some daily charges. So, i just calculate that i dont exceed the free days in a year. tongue.gif

I think it's 6 hours :-) officially... hehe...I did highlight that i think one week is just too long... maybe one or two days they might close eye....

My friend also recently drove his car down to singapore and park at his brother's condo for more than a week(roughly). However, he is not working here, just come down here for vacation, is the same rules applies? biggrin.gif

arrr, i missed out something. You can't drive Msia car in Sg if you are working in Sg with work pass and have a residential address in Sg.

think we have gone thru this a few times.

How about EP with sg residence address for the first year? I briefly drove my car for the first week when i first arrived, but didnt know got such rules.
