Honestly I think it's just everyone overreacting. You know lah Malaysians super sensitive, everything also link back to race. My opinion is that the message of the ads was sincere, it's just the execution that they screwed up on.

At the risk of sounding like an as$hole, HR and the Hiring Manager might not really have much interest in vigorously pursuing your case with MOM ... since after all you're 'just an intern.'
What on earth are you babbling about. It's well known that SG has some of the lowest income taxes anywhere. If you hadn't decided to leave after only 3 months then you would have been taxed at resident rates also what. And the house deposit ... you signed a one year lease, didn't you? So you expect in this world that you can happily break contracts as and when you please without penalty?
try call up this guy Willy 9824 4469, he's the agent who handled my rental. we did all the formalities with IPA only, after got EP card then gave a copy to him/landlord to give HDB.

Please do not assume that the HR personnel had cheated you as based on your non factual findings. If you insist on calling the hiring manager, just explain to him that your application had got rejected, please consult him whether he can help or not but dont mentioned the HR cheat on you because what if it is not and before you work as a permanent staffs, you already starting to accuse and finger pointing for things that you not 100% sure.

Usually MOM will not give reason for rejection. This practice of not giving reason for rejection is to prevent employers and prospective employees from artificially adjusting the application details in their favor and resubmit it again.
MOM will not reject you because of lack of documentation like SPM cert etc.. because to them, the lack of documentation is very trivial and if needed, MOM will ask you to show them the originals after they've given you an "in-principle approval".

Reason for rejection can either be:
1) Your salary or age does not meet the requirement for a TEP.
2) You graduated from an unrecognized university or your qualification is not good enough.
3) Company has reached its maximum quota for hiring foreigners.
4) The reason/excuse, the company has stated to MOM, for hiring you is not good enough.

Unless the employer has forgotten to mention that you're a first class honours student from Oxford during the initial application, an appeal will usually always end up rejected.

Most employers, especially mine, knows that appealing will ALWAYS end up reject so they usually make no effort to do it.

Time to move on, apply elsewhere.

The rate that we see is the buying rate which is normally lower.

The highest rate i get normally is from wawasan, then follow by the money changer i always change in JB which is normally 0.001-0.003 lower than wawasan

I check my EP application status at EP online Application Status.
But it always show "E0000236 : No record found", I have pass my application to HR on last Friday, is that mean the HR haven't submit the application for me?
