Erm...this may sound stupid...but what about a Sg registered car?
If we get stopped by the police, we show them Sg license with Malaysian IC (cause they would think we are foreigners)?
A bit of a weird combo  laugh.gif  laugh.gif  cause logically, singaporeans will have to show the license with passport.
*
another thing weird from your posting. I never, ever show my IC when got block by traffic police. Only give them my license.

If that is true, this is my ignorance on this matter as when i took the letter, i didnt think i see anything that mentioned i need to cut my driving license into 2 nor did any JPJ officer telling me so. However, i did renew my Malaysia driving license and is still valid till 2014. Now this have let me puzzling how come when i renew my malaysia license and i am allowed to do that since i am holding a singapore driving license. Is it due to i renew my license from the POS OFFICE?  hmm.gif

Anyone brudders who have converted and have their driving license cut into 2?

JOHOR BARU: Motorists will not be able to renew their driving licence if they have obtained a Singapore licence.

State Road Transport Department (JPJ) director Mohd Rosli Ramli said this was done to make it easier to trace drivers who committed traffic offences on either side of the Causeway.

“This is not a new rule. It is in accordance with Section 27 (6)(a) of the Road Transport Act,” he said in response to a complainant who said he was not informed why his Malaysian driving licence was barred when he went to renew it.

The ruling states that a person shall be disqualified from obtaining a driving licence when another is granted to him in Malaysia or the Republic of Singapore.

“Most of those affected are motorcyclists who are working in Singapore and own a Singapore-registered motorcycle.

“We will give them a choice as to which licence they want to keep,” said Mohd Rosli adding that the JPJ routinely cross checks details with its Singapore counterparts to sniff out those holding dual licences.

Singapore prohibits those holding its licence from driving a Malaysian vehicle in the republic while Malaysia allows either licence holders to drive a Malaysian or Singapore-registered car in Malaysia.

Hence, Mohd Rosli said, one should not be alarmed if one's Malaysian licence was disqualified, as one could still drive with a Singapore licence.

“Another way around it is to apply for an International Driving Permit, which costs RM150 a year,” he said.

hi guys, have problem with my iphone 4. may i know where to get iphone changed if still under warranty? if i bought the phone from someone who signed the line and i took the phone, how to get warranty in this case? and the new set they give is it refurbished set?
*
1st of all you are in the wrong thread but since you are here, we'll help tongue.gif . The 1st thing you really need to do it go to apple website, key in your phone serial number and check the warranty status, confirmed it's still under warranty. Then you could send the phone in for replacement (very likely a refurbished set) at ;

Same here, I dont need them to replace a refurbished set, I rather wait there for them to fix the button for me... but base on sources I read online, they do not do fixing on the spot. they only do 1 to 1 replace...
*
yes, it's all one to one replacement, regardless of what you wanted to repair.

Guys...just a quick one...

Can I signup for an iPhone plan when my EP only has 4 months validity left? I know all telcos have such clause but I'm unsure whether they follow the clause very strictly in practice.
*
It all boils down to the outlet. Some outlet will check for EP validity at least minimum 2 years while some didn't check at all. so, can try your luck.

Well, now u admit you saw the letter and you use the unwritten law as a general practise.  laugh.gif  Now you said i cari gaduh, now u said i LCLY when talk to the pump attendants, now u also said i got face problem. Well, this all come from you and it is you who want to cari gaduh. U look at all my post, whichever post that i post it with intention to cari gaduh, please tell me. I only mentioned you are out-dated in a nice way, and you started all this accusation. Somemore, u drag your friend into this. There is no win nor lose in this cyber world, nor do we benefit anything from it. Even with Mackiddo, i dont have anything against him even we have argued (i treat it as friendly argument) on the JPJ letter as all trying to points out what is fact from both end and we are talking personal experience. But you, using accusation to provoke a potentially cyber world gaduh. I assume you are only 24 years old from your nick, and this very much tells me of your immaturity. I will stop this topic with you because it is a waste of time if want to gaduh. rclxub.gif

indeed there is a letter BUT i doubt the validity of the letter NOW. The Msia Government has issue 2 directives, IIRC. 1st one is banning all Foreign registered car from fueling 95Ron and the other one is Foreign registered car can fill 95Ron provided they show Msia NRIC (proofing the drive is a Msian). I begin to think they displayed the earlier directive instead of the latest one. well, i might be wrong and there could be a new directive. Don't care anymore, Msia famous with flip-flop policies anyway.

anyway, it's good to provide some links/facts in every arguments, that way the arguments will not turn hostile.

i still have a Msia cc and i do pump 95Ron sometimes.

I wonder if the graduating class includes MBAs.

Anyway, my colleagues found out that while we were paying our finance intern $1000, Goldman Sachs was paying his classmate $8000, basically a graduate analyst's salary.

But our intern comes in at 9am, leaves by 6pm. Work is junior stuff. The GS intern apparently works 16hour days and weekends.
*
$8k per month for 16hrs days and weekend work is not too high actually. What surprised me is the 16hrs work, which is not allow under MOM, max allowable is only 12 hrs per day.

yeah it's a corporate plan. incoming & outgoing total 100 mins. peak and off peak makes up the 100 mins. I also hardly check my bill coz I never bust the allocated call and SMS before.
