LoL, I have been here for 2 weeks and I know it's legal....
Watch porn is legal in SG, who told u is illegal...??  doh.gif

Don't be a smart-ass. Your original quote was "PORN IS LEGAL." It might not be an offense to view porn online, but if you're in any form of possession (that includes that stash of JAV you have in that hidden folder on your laptop) then you're engaging in illegal activity.

sos (MDA FAQ):
14. Would I be arrested if I accidentally enter a pornographic website?
No, as there is no restriction on the websites you can visit. However, do note that it is an offence to download and store pornographic materials.

So ... porn is legal? I think not.

Hi all, I want to help my friend who's looking for a place in Tiong Bahru/Redhill/Queenstown or a place near the green line. She's going to work in Redhill. Her budget is $500 with PUB.

Ask her come stay with me in bedok tongue.gif

J/K. Redhill ... ask her stay Western area lor. Like Boon Lay, I think can get at around that price, got nice big shopping mall at the MRT too. 20mins from Boon Lay to Redhill, easy.

one of my ex-colleagues just moved to singapore. fuuuuuuuuuu she renting a master room at a condo near the office for $1.4k. at that price seems like more worth it to just tambah a few hundreds and have an entire unit just for yourself ... no? or take entire unit and sublet out one of the rooms.

My company agent just delivered my work permit today together with a letter of waiver for apply for marriage blah blah. does that mean i can marry anytime? XD

I don't really 100% understand what you're trying to say. The limitation is that WP holders not allowed to marry Singaporeans unless got government approval.

[edit] sos: http://www.mom.gov.sg/Documents/services-f...sConditions.pdf

QUOTE
8. The foreign employee shall not go through any form of marriage or apply to marry under any law, religion,
custom or usage with a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident in or outside Singapore, without the prior
approval of the Controller, while the foreign employee holds a Work Permit, and also after the foreign
employee’s Work Permit has expired or has been cancelled or revoked.

9. If the foreign employee is a female foreign employee, the foreign employee shall not become pregnant or
deliver any child in Singapore during and after the validity period of her Work Permit, unless she is a Work
Permit holder who is already married to a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident with the approval of the
Controller.

If he's hired as a SG employee, and he is required to travel to KL, the company should be providing accommodation in KL

Agreed. Unless it was specifically negotiated during the interview that your cousin would stay in his own house in KL (i.e., it was one of the reasons that the company hired your cousin in the first place).

Otherwise, it is unreasonable for the company not to provide any accommodation.

Guys,

My GF has used up 45 days of her 60/90 days in Singapore on tourist visa thing. She's already gotten her EPEC and yesterday she applied for a long-term visit pass. From the webpage:

QUOTE
For applications submitted via e-VP, the usual processing time is about 4 weeks.

So it seems that the LTVP won't be ready in time, so in 2 weeks she needs to leave Singapore (can't stay more than 60 days in every 90). Assuming she gets the IPA for the LTVP a week after that, can she enter Singapore using that IPA, or is she still limited to the 60/90 days thing?

Or alternately, is it possible to extend her current tourist visa while waiting for the LTVP, given that as a non-PR I'm unable to act as her sponsor?

You can actually start work with the IPA. I think Medical check-up is up to your new company whether they want or not (my company didn't require me to do so).

For me, with my IPA I entered SG on 31st May, started work on 1st June. Already start working that time then complete the formalities i.e. getting HR to sign IPA, issuing EP, making appointment to go fingerprinting, picking up EP card, etc etc.
