if u guys have the disappearing icons problem on your homescreen, try this fix:

This problem is due to some widget, try to find the troubling widget and then uninstall it, and reinstall the latest version if possible. i had a problem with beautiful widgets and i was completely surprised it was the cause of this - after uninstalling it and then reinstalling the latest version, all is well. I was able to trigger the disappearing icons problem many many times before this - now I never had it not even once after this "fix". you guys should try finding out which widget is causing the problem. good luck.

guys, i need your help~  icon_question.gif

my bro's Eee pad seems to hang or locked~
i cant seems to use my finger to tab on the icon, the icon not working or locked~

but when i rotate it, the screen still can rotate by itself~

is there any button that may have been pressed to locked it or anything to solve the problem~
*
if touching the screen does nothing just press and hold the power button until it shuts down then power it back up again by pressing the power button for a while till it powers up.

outed for a few weeks already, but depending on luck some are having problems with it , some like me doesn't have problem at all.
*
its not luck, i believe ICS amplifies existing problems more. usually some stuff like missing homescreen icons is due to widget problems and battery drain i believe is due to some app/service that is running eating up battery. still need to figure out which app is causing this..i'm facing battery drain only now..previously faced the missing homescreen icons issue but i've fixed it already by finding out which widget causing it - then uninstall it, reinstall back..

not entirely true. some users do factory reset before and after ics upgrade and still faces those problem.
*
i think they restore their apps that's why, so the problem will still be there i guess.

factory reset means clean clean ... no restore
*
i know what that means bro but what i meant was that the problem probably came up after they start restoring / installing all their favourite apps again, at least from what i read around. if its just pure stock apps should be fine i suppose.

that's what I'm trying to say,  some still faces the problem even after they factory reset without restoring/installing apps. but it doesn't happen to everyone. that's y I say depending on luck lol.

for my case I'm basically using back everything from honeycomb and haven't face any problem or random reboot yet.

Asus had actually acknowledged the problem and working on an update.
*
oh ok...guess i'm lucky - din face any random reboots so far..lol..but i did face some graphical issues on riptide gp and other games..had to reboot to fix that...

bros....does this screen bleeding acceptable?

[attachmentid=2731891]

if just at the bottom middle area yeah most of us have light bleed in that area, pretty common. in fact not that many DONT have light bleed. even the new transformer prime as i've heard has it.

Is ICS rom stable?
Or should i stick to honeycomb first?
*
honeycomb is more stable but ICS is just so much faster and better....a bit buggy but no regrets tongue.gif

excellent..i've been getting a lot of random reboots lately - hopefully this one fixes that!

Added on March 18, 2012, 9:41 amfound new option in settings > asus customised setting > disconnect network during sleep. this option should work just like auto airplane mode i think and save the battery from draining. also battery stats are back. touch sounds can be heard now (previously way too soft). that's all from what i found...

did anyone managed to get the new setting in the settings > asus customised setting (disable network when sleep) to work? I did a simple test by putting my tablet to sleep via the power button, then sent a mail to myself via gmail, waited a bit to see if the tablet would pick it up while it was asleep and it DID....the checkbox for disable network when sleep was checked and by right it should NOT pick up the mail at all until the screen was on..is anyone facing the same problem?

hi all, what do you all means restart? izzit when playing the tablet restart or ? izzit with docking or only tablet?
*
auto restart by itself without you even touching the tablet or doing anything..just randomly reboots out of nowhere...doesn't matter docked or not.

Did you update to 9.2.1.17?

Also, what is the name of the app that tells you how long your device has been in Deep Sleep, etc? I had it before but somehow it is missing (did Google pull the app from the Market and all devices?)
*
its called cpu spy
