Ya la...upgrade from 45w to 65w charger, add up RM4  doh.gif
*
Ya cannot tahan, I donโ€™t get Lenovo financial planing.
Since nobody wanted to get with 45w they die die gonna to products as much.
Actually like 45w and 65w charger size more or less are the same just the overall weight are lighter from 45w.
Still donโ€™t get the consumer needs, for us whoโ€™s dislike faster to completely charging in the short during time.

ThinkPad X395 is superb laptop size and weight, price not as Super high sky like Intel models.
I love this AMD Rzyen Pro 3500U very quiet unlike Intel always fan kick in.
The keyboard are awesome, key traveller very soft touch and without any pressure for typing any words.
Seem like battery life pretty good, no issue for 5 hours.
Display 300nits not as bad , seem like better than my expectations, colors very nice.
Body chassis are made with Polyform with carbon, feel like a plastics.
The overall build quality are excellent, I will rate this X395 : 9/10.

My conclusion is donโ€™t think the Intel cpu in the midrange anymore, cause as usual facts on heating issue.
Anyway should try in different cpu.
AMD worry for money and make life easy ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Add on for battery life.
I donโ€™t think can able to hit up 14 hours per changed.

QUOTE(G-17 @ Aug 25 2019, 08:48 PM)
X395 price is very tempting, but for Linux users like myself;

1. Lenovo have been very poor with LVFS support for their AMD based ThinkPads in the past.
2. AMD themselves are very slow in providing open source drivers for the Linux kernel, and show no signs of improving. Their desktop and server CPU support has improved a lot recently, but for the mobile APUs it's still quite flaky.

Shame, because I would have liked to save a bit of $$ by going AMD. Looks like I'll need to play safe and stick with Intel this time around and pay more for the X390 instead. sad.gif
*
Any reason to buy ThinkPad and work with Linux OS?
To me AMD or Intel windows platform are better, at least my engineering software all are supported.

Is that every time when Lenovo delay shipping, the reason (EXCUSE?) is part shortage? Frustrated waiting for mine..
*
Donโ€™t buy the customisation specs Loh.
Just buy the instant packaged will do.
Mine taken almost a month, if you can wait itโ€™s worth for you.

Oops my bad
Contemplating between the P1G2 and the Y740
Not a gamer but I do need the TB3 and has to be able to drive graphics intensive stuff
Leaning towards the P1G2
*
To me , if you can better donโ€™t use eGPU , the laptop very hurt, cause due to work like no tomorrowโ€™s, the fan blower kick in all time.
Again the battery keep charging from the 100W from TB3.
You will feel that whole laptop too warm, very uncomfortable at all.

Hahaha alright then. I will have to continue to check with the them as yesterday they replied me that mine got delayed due to lacks of parts, then midnight updated back to initial date again lol.
*
Lol ๐Ÿ˜‚ sound like cannot wait.. good luck bro.
Anyway Lenovo so far is the best part , they had better QC to check on display, I knows some Brandโ€™s has dead pixels for any display.
I had my previous dell XPS M1530 comes with dead pixels

Ordered a X390 last night. Hopefully they're honest with their estimate. It seems the backpack (I cropped that part out) will be shipped on a later date. I guess everybody wants a $1 backpack  laugh.gif

My order;

Total around RM4,250. Maybe could get cheaper if I was patient, but the 3yr battery coverage was too good to pass up. Called the hotline just now and they transferred me to a technical guy who claimed that if the battery went below a certain threshold in that time, I'd qualify to change it for free and only have to pay for labor. Means I can hammer the machine without worry.  icon_rolleyes.gif

You so careless ah?
