I used to go to SS2 Legend quite regularly in the past but i feel that their service and discounts nowadays is not as good as before they got so big.

For centralized water heater was quoted RM60 less than Legend's quote from another supplier for the same product.

tumpang topic a bit.

i plan to install full height built-in wardrobe but the air con piping in on the same wall. can i install the air con on the built in wardrobe?
*
Does Ur wardrobe have door(s)? If yes, meaning when U ON the air conditioner, the door(s) of Ur wardrobe has to be opened right? Otherwise it's only Ur clothings in the wardrobe are being cooled by the air conditioner laugh.gif

Added on November 18, 2011, 1:29 pmFYI, rate of pipings for R410A (DC compressor type) is typically more expensive than R22 (typical AC compressor type).

I was quoted RM15/ft and RM18/ft for 1HP R410A and 1.5HP R410A respectively for hacking of the wall and installation of pipings, concealing work is not included as most air conditioner contractors are not expertise in doing concrete concealing work.

Hack and seal the leak. That is the best. If not the moisture will build up slowly up to the floor. If this A/C are use frequent.

This should not happen. Conceal will have no moisture unless is leaking water

If I buy aircon from electrical shop and let their aircon contractor do the conceal piping, is it cheaper than finding my own aircon contractor?

All I know is if we let the electrical shop's contractor do, definitely got free 10 ft copper piping.

If you put your hand on the wall where the water pipe is, you can feel it cooler than others wall. That is how the wall get moisture. Specially if the conceal pipe is just at the wall surface. Not deep enough.

I got to use primer paint to paint first. Than apply the actual paint. If not, the paint will fade away.

Depends on your luck. Outside contractor and the ones nominated by the electrical shop should be around the same. They are both outsiders, no link with the electrical shop.

But I will prefer the guy doing the installation be the same one that I will call to service the air cond in the future.
Anything wrong, you point finger at him, he has less excuse. icon_idea.gif

My master bedroom drain pipe was wrapped with the black thingy (ah, forgot what it called), same things it use for the copper. You can do that on the drain pipe. I only notice it last week. For the other area did not notice, but I don't feel cold on the wall with piping when we test the a/c for few hours. Maybe because it was conceal deep.

It call insulation that prevent hot or cold from escape. My pvc drain pipe don't have this kind of wrap. I believe many didn't do that too. The aircon side short drain pipe should have this insulation.
