actually the slot behind our laptop if we open ourself shouldn't be a problem right?

actually u guys cannot open it ... but if u do it and keep it clean and undamaged ... no problems ...

oo.....how to keep it clean? the prying open of keyboard should be more dangerous right?

actually ... dont mess uo the screws is good enuf ... opening the keyboard is not as complex as u think ...
actually with a bit of practice ... its very easy ...

usually PC fair promo giv additional one yr ma...but mine was never registered after PC fair, call so many times, faxed invoice oso, never do for me....

Huh? SO that means the dealer gives me an unauthorized ram? I paid extra to upgrade to 2 gd ended up I got a useless ram? >< give me so much troubles somemore.

What should I do? Should I go back to the dealer? Will they change the ram for me?

So,what should I do now? Buy new ram with better quality? I'm worried that the problem will still be there even if I've spent some more money to change the ram.

Btw, do toshiba users who buy the laptop recently get the recovery cd? I was informed that no cd is given nowadays when I bought the laptop. So, how should I reformat?

i think it has mentioned in tis thread previously tat there is no recovery disc provided for the new batch of laptop. i think u gotta burn a copy for urself. which means u gotta spend some money to buy the dvd-r then burn it onto it. but how to find the portion i m not sure coz my model came wif the dvd. for tis mayb u can juz PM eddy n i m sure he will definitely reply u, no worry!

there is only not compatible ram ... but if the ram is the fault of ur notebooks problem ... the toshiba service centre will ask u to change ur ram ...

bro yewkhuay ... like i said ... dont worry bout ur second year warranty if ur not going overseas ... the warranty is valid as long as its stated on ur invoice ... we had this kind of issues b4 ... but in the end tele-dynamics or the sole distributor and service center for toshiba said that all u need is a proof of purchase or the invoice to claim ur warranty locally ... so when u send it in for repairs ... just bring ur invoice ... anyway ... how did ur ram swapping operation went ???

havent ler, coz after PC fair try to buy the ram stick price expensice pula ( u lar....reply me late.... ), now waiting for a LYN member to get back to me about his ram for sale....

Is anyone know know about such t hing called TPM? stand for Transport Platform Monitor if not mistaken. Is there any way we can check weather out laptop has it?
