X1400 is just a remake of X600

X300 is a stripped down version of X600. Thus , X1300 is a stripped down version of X1400. Well , it would not have the same performance as a X1400 with 128mb dedicated , but it would beat a X1400 which uses HyperMemory [in certain games , etc].

so that means M100-P345 graphic card is only 64MB dedicated ???? omg ... means i kena con ???

they write there 128MB dedicated and 128 hyper wor ...

It depends , there are many flavors of X1300,X1400

For example , lets take a look at ATI's X200..There are 3 versions of it.....Well , if you take a look at my lappies product specs it just says Up to 128MB - Hypermemory - ATI Radeon Xpress 200M

But then there are 4 flavors, one which uses HyperMemory [fully on HyperMemory] , semi [like yours] , dedicated [No Hypermemory at all]

I mean that 256MB X1300..Common , the graphics card isnt that powerfulll to take it , so for X1300 , it should be at least 64-128MB ....Beyond that its a gimmick

yes, you are right.
it will share up to 128mb ram from you main memory.

So i think you need to have at least 512mb ram to make it run smoothly.

I am planning to get Toshiba since :
1. a lot of bad reviews on Acer being unreliable
2. Fujitsu's reliability comes at a really high price.
3. Toshiba's reliability comes at an affordable price. Looking at Satelite A100-P545

So, I need someone who is a Toshiba owner to vouch for Toshiba's reliability. Is it worth paying for? I hear that Toshiba notebooks have solid reliability and I wouldn't go wrong paying more on Toshiba notebooks.

I need reassurance. I don't want to spend extra money just to be dissapointed. Tell me I'm making the right choice in choosing Toshiba over Acer/Dell, because I could definitely save some money otherwise smile.gif

Thanks~

I think it's better for you to choose the brand that got service center near the place you are visiting in UK ............ I think if you like Toshiba....there is no harm for you to get it although the spec may not as good as DELL or Acer or COmpaq (with same amount of money).....try to check at shop toshiba in midvalley..... i think their price quite okie.

I've sent my laptop twice. Their service is very good. Usually take only 2 working days to fix. But Service centre is abit far i guess. all the way at Shah Alam... sad.gif

1st Service i changed Harddisk. (Moved laptop around while it's running)
2nd Service i changed wireless and nVidia (which means the whole motherboard i think...haha)
