Bah, you have more experience than most of us. Even been through life and death for the sake of fishing. You should share your experience and stories with us here. Sailfish in rompin? or GT in Desaru?

Wah, newbie in this hobby also been on sailfish trip for 7-8 times, so jealous. Next time when you got trip and you lack of kaki, maybe you can consider to put invitation here, i'm sure they are interested, lol

thank you

yes, the sinker

do most of your sinkers still use lead? or do some of them use bismuth now?

Hi guys, I have just purchase a fish known as Ikan ketutu/soon hock.
I am planning in keeping it in a fibreglass tank without an air pump. How does that figure?Do you think it can survive like ikan haruan, I mean without an air pump?

There's a trip to One Fathom Bank (OFB) on the 15-16th October 2011.
The payment would be RM160 (all included except for your fishing equipment).
Anyone interested? brows.gif

hi there. i'm a super nwbie in fishing. just started with very cheap rod n reel.
I've read several articles bout rods n reels but still could not quite understand.

1. If the reel said lb test 12lbs, can I use a 50lbs line? or I should not exceed the lbs test written on the reel?

Can someone explain to me?

What reel size/number are you using? 2000/3000/4000 etc?
Normally you can use bigger/thicker lines on your reel but 50lbs on a 12lbs reel is not suitable. What fish are you targeting?
Unless you're going deep sea, 50lbs is overkill.

30lb on a 2000 reel is actually too much already. normally 2000 goes 20lb maximum

nice rod you go there. but i'm not sure if pairing with that reel is a good idea. how much did you pay for your rod anyway?
