when u go there dont la wear so nice or use credit card...coz if she know u can affort it...she wont even give 1cent discount to u...

kene before...maybe its juz me...lol....
*
ss2 price ady quite cheap, so no point asking for discount. depends on what you buying, dont bother discounting on lures, accessories & lines. if she knows you well enough she will discount the grand total.

rods & reel is where you wanna pull the calculator and talk to her. I usually ask & nego prices when no other customer around.me not very good at bargains, as long its within my budget I'll hentam. just bought a basspara from her last friday, hentam the price down.

If you want M, ML or MH try to look out for MC Slicer, corkish, Go Emotion (8-14lb). All 3 available at SS2 tackle, or SS4.
Cheapest so far would be Abu Vengance.
The basspara I bought was new stock BPC632 10-16lbs @ 200 (new price). Old stock can get at about 180 after discount.
If you want lighter than that, then prepare to fork out 650-700+ for volkey.
Go emotion price tag at 350 (8-14lbs - 2 pcs) @ ss2
Corkish at 400+ (nice cork grips)
Else fenwick elite would be nice too at 250 (cork grips)

Both my snow and basspara was bought due to my compulsive buying. plan to let it go once i get to try it out.
Your scorpion XT should be able to handle 3-5g with brakes turn off, if you're hunting for PB try to get the storm flutter stick or the Ofmer micro lures. Its small but heavy enough for casting. That Ofmer going at 9 bucks in SS2 and 10.50 in Digital, Storm flutter stick about 17 bucks.
Some of my PB lure collections
Another good lure I have for PB is the Owner cultiva ct55f1
Ofmer Catwalk 65
Storm FLutter stick
Yozuri Aile
Ofmer lipless pencil (5g)
BUlu ayam tied to darter or round jighead hooks. (DIY)

Check this blog out PB lures that works at Air Kuning.

havent tried my BC rods yet. Still prefer my spinning, cos some lures are 2-3grams only.
Think when you meant hard to cast means your lure too light? Puchong prima PB very picky eaters la,... think they seen all lures over the years and they know what not to bite. I too go home white fruit some some days, I usualy go there on Saturdays 630am if I have no commitments to family or wife that is.
Planning to get a MH BC rod next... hmm or maybe the storm micro jigger. See which reel I end up buying first hahahah, the Team Daiwa Fuego and the new TDA 2500a looks quite alright for a UL and L spinning reel.

4lbs spinning setup with Berkley nanofil line to play with PB,.. mmmm yummmzzz

Hmm thinking of letting my first reel off. Ofmer Kewl 4000 at RM190, bought back in march 2012 still got 7 months of warranty with Sea TAckle.
Comes with 2 spool
first spool with mono 19lbs Sunline Friendlier - Aprox 200+ yards of line (1.5 spools)
second spool with 15lbs braided (cant remember what brand) about 300 yards line. (2 spools)

Reel good for salt water use, fresh water. Used it a twice in Jurassic and once in PD shore casting & once in EAK. I kept it as my spare reel after purchasing a smaller and lighter Okuma Trio 30. Landed patin and baung and several PBs with it. Reel in excellent condition. Any takers?
I itching to upgrade to a smaller and lighter reel. Basically I bought the reel at 190 and letting it go at the same price with the line included. Both spooled line cost more than 100 bucks liao.

Reel comes with box & warranty card, purchased from Red Hot

Kewl Fuse is truly a masterpiece, featuring sharp body in a truly futuristic design, and designed to allow aggressive angling in the field. The Vertigo reel is liberally endowed with the features needed by the demanding angler, and is tops in its class for quality and durability. This high-quality reel is the best available in an affordable price.

V-shaped rotor arm.
V-shaped large spool.
New rotary flat oscillation system.
Gear ratio of 5.0:1
Come with free spare spool.
Designed and engineered by Japan.
Max Drag of 5kg
6 ball bearings
316 Grams
165/16 140/20 (yards/lbs)

Bro 1$,
Ada sikit salah on top... smile.gif

Minn Kota - expensive..
Motor Guide - Affordable
Sevylor - low poundage, pushing a inflatable would be even worse due to water displacements
Prowler - US brand, have not use nor tested. No comments.

Minn Kota = RM1,100 till 1,200
Motor Guide = RM800 till 900
*
Yep you're right, but i see a lot of 2nd hand motorguide more valuable than minn kota.
Where you bought yours?

hmm looking at BPS site.... minnKota lowest range motors.
Minn Kota® Endura C2
US$115 - 30lbs thrust with 30" Shaft
US$220 - 45lbs thrust with 36" Shaft

Minn Kota® TRAXXIS
US$220 - 45lbs thrust with 36" shaft

MotorGuide® VariMAX®
US$255 - 45lbs thrust with 36" shaft

Looks like motor guide is mid to high end stuff while minnkota has lower range models.

Rory,

One of the weekends perhaps.

$1,
You seem to be like SS2 Fever Angler's spokesperson. LOL! Must go check them out again one of these days. LOL!

btw, whats happening tonight? haha...
*
Wahahaha no la,.. cos its near my office. I work in 1Utama, where else can i go without jam and plenty parking.
Kepong also near but jam teruk, and if i snake to kepong, i will also sure end up in JM tackle which takes 2-3 hours snaking.

Only reason I keep going back to SS2 is because of cheap and honesty. Aunty will tell me at times,.. kepong cheaper dont buy from her.
Also no pressure shopping in SS2, no crowd, all in all,.. I am just comfortable there.

i also go shop at red hot and extreme anglers, seldom kepong tackle unless wanna look for cheap reel or rods la.
I go ocean tackle also,.. but darn far.

Added on August 23, 2012, 12:28 amanglers central is a nice place to lepak. wash eyes and feel the pricey stuff, very dangerous place for compulsive buyers like me. only been there twice, mawi is a nice guy that gives good advices and shares his experiences.

Bro 1$,

I propose we hentam straight to the 2nd basecamp, and if it's not a good spot for base then we resort to basecamp 1. Comments?

Added on August 23, 2012, 10:03 amI have just remapped my track. The distance from entrance of gravel to basecamp1 is 27km, travelling at 7km/h, we should be reaching there in about 3hr and 15mins
*
Anything goes man, i tarak hal as long as its a flat sandy ground. Cant waste too much time recce the other base. You and HOn will be driving for 11 hours, that can be tiring when setting up the camp site. if camp site 2 not nice then more reason we should make another trip again.

yeah wanted to try but there was another angler there. today the wind quite strong blowing inwards towards the banks...kinda hard to see and cast. maybe i need polarized glasses. time to get more variety! haha
*
Cast sides, assuming you face the water and the bank is at your back,.. cast where the wind favors. 10-11 o'clock or 1-2 o'clock direction, the sudden deep drop off underwater is where you will get the bites. If you get bored go kacau those orange fishes guarding their nest, max irritate em till they bite your lure hehehe

gonna wire from the hood to the trunk for my spare battery. Throwing in isolator as well.

Owhh ? why ?
why not rewire everything to the rear and put a large batt ?
I know we do it for cars so got more room for mod under the hood.
Also larger batt can power more amp and subs hehehe
