both SN2500FD and RD's max drag is around 7lb or 3kg. While for SN4000FD is 13lb and RD is 12lb.

Be sure to get the latest Sienna model which has "SN" on the front because newer models has higher max drag.

With SN-> http://www.shimano.com/publish/content/glo...ing/Sienna.html

With NO SN -> http://fish.shimano.com.sg/publish/content.../Sienna_FD.html

I am getting the 2500 model.

Is there advantage or disadvantage in using Front Drag and Read Drag ? or it is just a matter of preference ?

Adui, i was about to set my sight on Sienna then u guys talk about Ryobi Arctica. laugh.gif

Now I am torn between 2 reels, any more reels between RM100-Rm200 to recommend ? After got a few options then I will go Kepong Tackle to test them.

One of the SG site said Arctica comes with 2 spools and 1 year warranty thumbup.gif , anyone can confirm that ?

I have seen Arctica in Kepong Tackle but never seen Arctica II before. There is also not much review on Arctica II on the net.

I read somewhere that braided line tends to slip in the spool.

Need new type of spool or need "backing" to prevent slipping.

Anyone got experience in spooling braided line ?

Most of you guys into spinning or baitcasting reels?

Anyone would like to have a baitcasting introduction?
*
Noobie here, might join u guys but still need to check whether i m free on 2nd June. I will confirm my attendance later.

I am currently using a 2-4kg rod but my cheap ass reel is about to spoil, i hope my fishing rod can handle the fishes in Jurassic Park. Is anyone here kind enough to lend me one of ur spare reel, promise will take good care of it ? biggrin.gif

Since bro Rory said he gonna bring some sponsors for us to test some reels, i think i would use this opportunity to expose to more reels before i go buy a new 1.

I am currently using spinning reel, would love to learn bait casting.

ok decided to go ady. All I am worry is that my 2-4kg rated rod is unable to withstand the forces of Jurassic Park fishes. My reel confirm cannot ady so need to borrow a spinning reel from Viox.

Treble hooks got ler... Single hook never ler.

Why not tie yourself? smile.gif It's very easy

May i know what you wanted to buy? What kind of supply?
*
ok i just checked Jurassic's FB pictures and I noticed most of them either use plastic or soft plastic lure (macam jelly) with or without spoon.

Jurassic Park only allow single hook but I noticed those plastic lures mostly come with treble hook (3 hooks). So need to re-hook the lures to single hook.

I think I need to buy plastic lure, single hooks, rings (to connect hook to lure), swivels, snap leader and maybe more...

must buy special plier to re-hook the lure ? the ring looks like key chain ring, just that a lot smaller.

What do u call those lures that has a transparent plastic spoon or something similar at the front ? effective in targeting Toman and other fishes in Jurassic ? link below.
http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=452...&type=3&theater

Is popper and plastic frog effective in targeting Toman in Jurassic Park ?

I have never use lure before only bait, hence a lot of questions. That is why need sifu's help. icon_rolleyes.gif
