Do you mind me asking what sort of injury did you suffer? I'm sure you might find some useful advice from peeps here . |

QUOTE(skanman2 @ Oct 3 2011, 05:07 PM) Hey guys. Just want to share. I've been playing with this group for about 4 sessions and so far it's been a great experience. Friendly bunch of people. Yo man... Haha.. odiin was the one whom told me that your name is iskandar.. thats why I named you as that Looking forward to seeing a regular bunch play more often. Hopefully we can all help each other improve in areas we could improve in and adapt to each other's styles of play to encourage beautiful football (lol). I'm the big gooner for those who are wondering. Added on October 3, 2011, 5:09 pmlol just realized i've been listed as odiin's friend iskandar Added on October 4, 2011, 11:12 pm QUOTE(Greenyz @ Oct 3 2011, 08:26 PM) Great session as usual guys ..love the spirit and yes , we probably could start tactical ...to learn and improve skill ...anyway most you guys are awesome already .....i still have more to catch up ..ha h a...skanman u wearing yellow O2 jersey?? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « bro, previously I also had a sprained ankle injury due to futsal. I went for a doctor and psysio. Let me know if you need the contact but the doc is at Subang Jaya. The doctor's contact is inside the link I gave below But if you don't plan to see a doctor, these are some advices the doc told me: 1. Get an ankle brace and wear it when you are out from home 2. Put ice pack over the injured area 2-3 times a day 3. Unless necessary, avoid walking and standing. Also whenever when you are seating down, if possible lift up your injured leg 180 degree (not to allow your leg to face down) 4. Don't massage the injure area as it will worsen it (as claimed by the doc). I not sure if you can get this cream from the pharmacy but if you can try to get it and apply over the injured ankle 2-3 times daily. The cream is Voltaren Emulgel (20g) 5. When the swelling is less, try to do some ankle exercises to prevent your ankle from becoming stiff Ankle exercises Hope that helps and get well soon This post has been edited by coolkidz: Oct 5 2011, 01:06 AM |

I strongly recommend the tips given by coolkidz as above, especially on no.4... because ive worsened my injury after massaging it. I wouldn't recommend no.5 though as my doc told me not to move my ankle too much after 1-2 month recovery. There are good and average ankle support around. The doc i see recommend me to buy Nike's ankle support and told me to stay off from those cheaper version. Its sold around rm40-50 i guess, and others selling around 20-40 |

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Well I not sure about the ankle exercises. That was what my doc told me about the ankle brace, I got mine from the doctor. And later on I bought a pair of ankle guard to wear during futsal sessions (adidas from Al-Ikhsan. as far that I had noticed, Al-Ikhsan carries Nike and Adidas ankle guards and the pricing was roughly in the range of 20 something) is as how Frostymocha advised, is better to consult a doc/physio. Well the doc I went he said if we have medical insurance is best to check with the insurance company if we can claim for such treatment. So if can claim is better for us to get the better treatment that we can get right ? This post has been edited by coolkidz: Oct 5 2011, 01:52 AM |
